This will be a tech failure such as truck tilt/ anti skid, or logic failure. All four of the rear wheels were cooked - the fronts were intact.

I know this is an Airbus, but on a Boeing for a windshear go-around you do not change the configuration of the aircraft until clear of the windshear. I would be surprised if Airbus was any different.

On my Boeing, it does whatever we tell it. I don't know much about Airbus, but I would imagine the flap lever is one of the few where the crew have direct control over it.

B757 flown fully configured at flap 30 gear down from top of drop. Coming down a 4.46 degree slope with a 20t tailwind would be mighty difficult otherwise....
