Unless I misunderstand, both primary and secondary radar contact was lost.
If true, how was 370 tracked and by whom ?
Never re-identified in an ATC sense.

The ATC protocols and procedures are not, in my opinion, `clearly unsafe`!!

Maybe not quite ICAO standard but perfectly normal.

I read that a/c disappeared from radar.

After contact was lost, no secondary, track unknown how were these later `sightings` identified as being MH370.

I was always taught that you shouldn`t turn into the dead engine ie. Starboard engine out......turn left. There may, of course, be reasons where this is not practical, sometimes.

RT/Radar Failure

I`ve experienced both in another life. R/T....30 mins standby power. Radar...nothing !

Sad thing is that there a virtually no procedural controllers left. A bit worrying I think.
