I've got a great idea...why not have a Basic CPL that allows you to build experience and earn from it and then when (if?) you want to go on to more steely eyed planes you upgrade to a CPL...hmmm...

"Oxford Radar" should hopefully be filling some of this gap in the next few weeks. Won't be LARS though so subject to the normal constraints/availability.

Just looking at the CAA CPL examinations website and it seems that the CPL now, under the "New Syllabus" has got some extra papers in it. Can anyone shed any light on this?? Is it the same material...

Yes you could well go to Bodmin or Perrnaporth (I regualrly do!) for less but this price includes any instrument approach...

The danger areas are usually inactive at weekends (but check NOTAMS for additional activity). Once within 60nm of the NQY you can get a service from Newquay radar if you are high enough.
