Couldn't cut it?

I have been in the RHS with this fellow and I don't think he would have had any trouble with a PA31.

Think it might have been the CP beating his chest as the guy was hired by the owner with no...

Excuse my ignorance

I was always under the impression that to be an FE you had to have a CPL and a type rating on the aircraft being flown. This doesn't appear to be the case. Can someone please explain to me what used...

B1900D or DHC8-300?

I may be in a position shortly to have my choice of being an FO on either of these two aircraft. The Beech has a much quicker time to command and everyone seems to think that there is "no time like...

I had an application in for just short of 2 years before I got a call to stage 1. I only started sending in updates after 18 months. I think that is what did the trick.

Every 4 or 5 months send...

Yes a lot of Europeans with a fresh CPL and 200-250 head to Africa looking for that first job.

They mainly end up in Botswana or Namibia. As these countries are English speaking and have a large...

Variable Vmcg?

I was going through a interview prep book and came across this question. It gives an answer but I still don't get it. If sounds as if Vmcg is a variable depending on weight. I always thought it was...

Who let them in

A previous poster commented before that senior captains and trainers have the belief that if you have 2000 hours and aren't in a good company by now then your not worth it. What a load of rubbish!...

Not everything is hours

I would like to state firstly that anyone who has a job lined up on a biz jet before he has even finished training shouldn't be telling everyone else how the industry works.

After starting...

From another thread in this forum

Try Falcon Express Cargo Airlines in Dubai, you need 500TT and 300 Multi and 1900 rating for a chance

Your profile lists you in Dubai so maybe you can go knock on the door.

Total time difference

Australia you can do CPL in 150 hours for an approved course or 200 hours self paced. The US is minimum 250 hours to CPL. That hour difference sucks up most of the cost difference.

Also, if you...
