This terrified me as I read the same thing on the CAA website one week into my IR. It is incorrect. I had no issues and my IR was successfully issued 30 months after passing the ATPL theory exams.

I don't think this is correct - I believe you have 36 months from passing your last ATPL theory exam to get both the CPL and IR.
