Stay well away

The only reason this place takes domestics is to get the 3K enrollment fee from them. If you are an overseas student but self funding (not an airline cadet), you get hit with a 15k enrollment fee...

I don't know about anyone else on this forum but I did 5 years on Collins boats and we didn't even get to Rimpac as we couldn't make it more than a week out and we would have to come back because of ...

Good Reports only

I know that they are very busy and you might need to even organise a start date for a full time course. They have good quality instructors who have been around aviation alot longer than instructors...

Thanks for the response.

Just to make one thing clear. It put the real job headline to get people to read it. If it was looking like another up north thread I thought no one would bother.

The aim of what I did was to...

When did they leave these jobs.

Many people have left good paying desk jobs to go and fly but did they do it in the face of the biggest stock market dive since the Great Depression? I think not. I cant see how being in an industry...

Jump on me if I'm wrong but don't you have a limited time to complete the 150 hour course?

Also, a guy doing his CPL at the same school as me was in a very similar position. The CFI wouldn't...

We lost our international appeal

Having spent a couple of years around Europe/North America recently, I would have to say that the belief Aussie's have of being "loved everywhere" is misplaced. I stayed in more modest accomodation...

Does it matter?

Alicedup,

Does it matter that povo didn't know the nationality of GFS's airline contract students?
Last time I looked they were Chinese, Taiwanese and Vietnamese.

Do you know how much the...

A large player?

YMMB already has enough sustainable large players. There are enough schools with ongoing overseas work to keep MB ticking over for a long time yet. As for PC, GFS already has that sewn up for years...

At MFT there is a gent who has flown a couple of dozen different tailies in his time. Very thorough (dont think just a couple of hours of circuits will get you singed off) and friendly. I think his...

If you weren't emrolled in the 150hr course when you started, then you will have to do 200 hours. Don't know about the x country req's but you should go to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority website...

What I like most about the US downturn is that it is the poduct of their own greed. Who was giving mortgage's to people who didn't really qualify and then cried about it when they couldn't pay?
