VLJ Type Rating

I would like to do an FAA and JAA VLJ type rating. Can someone tell me the number of take off/landings in the actual aircraft that would be needed to get the rating issued?

I don't think it needs elaboration. If you're struggling with the concept I suggest you google Quantas, TWA or PanAm pilot strikes (amongst others). Include 'scab' in your search keywords.
