BizJob Extras

Just wondered what (if any) additional items a UK corporate Captain can expect to receive on top of regular salary (mid-size jet, two crew, all arrangements in-house). For example......
  1. Company car (or mileage allowance)?
  2. Room only hotel or full board?
  3. Rental car while away/taxi cab allowance?
  4. Phone allowance - both home and mobile?
  5. Laptop - for planning etc?
  6. Internet allowance - for planning etc?
  7. Uniform allowance?

Also be interested to hear of anything else relevant including average per diem rates. All help appreciated!

The perfect job.!!!!

It is so varied that it is impossible to say.

I have seen almost all these items covered, and also seen almost all not covered...
  1. Company car (or mileage allowance)?
50/50, as to car, as to an allowance.
  1. Room only hotel or full board?
I assume you are talking as to away, then room, breakfast, uniform laundry, own laundry (after 3 or 5 days).
  1. Rental car while away/taxi cab allowance?
Rental car, perhaps, depending on location of accomodation, often cheaper then two taxi rides.
  1. Phone allowance - both home and mobile?
Company use only.
  1. Laptop - for planning etc?
Dream on.
  1. Internet allowance - for planning etc?
Mandatory, in my opinion. voip, and skype etc, etc. Try to ensure office also on Skype.
  1. Uniform allowance?
Mandatory, that uniforms are provided, inc shoes.

I hope this is of interest.

Per diems I've seen (UK) are mostly around the £47 mark. It's claimed that this is because this is the most the tax man will allow without deduction.

Outside the UK? Only seen one and that's NJME at $100.

I'm sure others will know more.

Whoops,

Company car - Doesn't apply seeing as we are flown in and out for duty.
Room - Generally room only, occasionally room and breakfast.
Rental car/Taxi - Yes. We choose the cheaper option.
Phone allowance - Aircraft has two dedicated phones.
Laptop - Yes, aircraft has laptop for performance/M+B/paperwork etc.
Internet allowance - Yes
Uniform Allowance - Yes

Per Diem varies according to location. Common practice. Lowest around 57 Euro/day, highest 100 Euro/day.

Hope this helps,

Bug

I work for a private owner:

1- no compay car but the owner pay 40% when I commute from home to the plane
2- room + breakfast + lunch + dinner
3- normally car rental as normally is cheaper
4- full allowance for mobile
5- 1 Laptop on the plane
6- no internet allowance
7- no uniform
