Word out is that they have already been replaced- apparently 9 FOs already hired - just a wild guess but probably still 1 or 2 out there who would only be to glad to fly -800 and earn a Mango salary...

SAA are in the process of removing the 744 from its fleet. Many of the crew have moved across to the other fleets. The 744 basically operates a few JNB CPT sectors, LHR, LAD and LOS

I heard Mango HAD to take the 737s from SAA and that initial loan. They were offered cheaper loans.

There was also a deal where Mango were using SAA dispatch and ramp agents, but being charged....

Non acclimatised cabin crew are allowed a maximum FDP of 13 hours.
However in flight rest of 5 hours is provided in a bunk, therefore maximum FDP may be increased...
