B772/3 with RR engines has performance limitations at NCL, B777-300ER doesn't (GE90-115 a lot more powerful). Cargo/Pax loads are some way short of justifying the B773ER on permanent basis...

I believe that modern carbon brakes have been found to actually last longer if subjected to heat. Obviously carbon brakes are more efficient too (hence A380 only has T/R on the inboard engines.

Unless i'm misunderstanding what you mean, it's a plastron fairing & the seals constantly fall out. It was also on the A340-300, purely aerodynamic & not on later aircraft.
