A very nice place to stop for a lunch is the Flying M Ranch....not all that far from Yamhill/McMinnville area. One big beautiful Log Building and Dude Ranch.
Better yet...drive up and have an evening meal....drink at the bar made from an Old Growth log which hangs from the rafters on two huge Cant Hooks.
Check for Elk and Black Bear while you cruise the hills....just mind the logging High Lead wires.

I spent several years flying around Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Montana.
The Dalles airport cafe is a good lunch spot as well.
Take yer girl friend to Trout Lake, WA. for a weekend get-a-way....the Trout Lake Motel is a very nice place with really friendly owners.
After the snow melts on Baby Shoe Pass....take the 23 road to Randle, WA. and take in the Steam Train at Elbe and drive on up to Mt. Rainer.

There are long lines, and there are long lines: these were 200 metres of bird netting to be laid across fish ponds full of goldfish. The 6th one was easier than the first

TwinHueyMan never had that problem, can't climb over the tanks in an Aussie B/Hawk fuel dump plumbing in the road just climb into tail thru the access door on r/h side of transition section much easier, fitted to Aussie Hawks from new in late 80's now on the Mike models i think.
The "hell hole" on the Huey or 212 was also an interesting place to work in the summer heat with high humidity.
Walsh's airstrip, Mansfield Victoria
A couple of pics from the weekend..
One of CHC's 212's loads US fire-fighters to be dropped off in the hills near Mansfield
Helitak 332 departs Walsh's airstrip. Coulsons S-61 on standby in the background
