I am always impressed by the amazing images that are displayed in this forum. I must sat that the AS365 in Helimikey's photo's must hold the record as the most Photographed helicopter on the internet. There was also a comment if i remember correctly made earlier in this forum about this particular purple AS350 not being a nice colour but i think it is a great paint scheme. Excellent work everyone, keep them coming.

Calendars for February 2007
February is here already, and a couple more calendars: both from Australia, but I’m always open to shots from around the world
The first is a Vertol 107 touching down at Newcastle Regional Heliport
An air to air shot of an RAN Seahawk flying over Lake George, near Canberra in the ACT. Very dry, the lake is all but indistinguishable from the surrounding paddocks due to the drought
As always, click on the thumbnail to open a higher resolution full picture, then right click to select "Set as Background" - for Windows users, that is

Some pictures of the Sea King mk48 RS02 departing from Toran Heliport @ Roeselare - Beveren , Belgium.
Anyone who knows this helicopter will notice that the nose has just been painted red, and the 40th Sqdn emblem has not been added yet.
All 5 of the mk48 will be replaced in 2008/2009 by NH90.

And people say helicopter flying is dangerous .....
Picture sent in to Rotorheads by Johan Winkler, a Swiss helicopter pilot, who says:
The famous 'Cresta Run' at the St Moritz Tobogganing Club, Switzerland
80 mph head first on a toboggan.
And people say helicopter flying is dangerous.
Video of the run >>> Link HERE
The Cresta Run is a ¾ mile natural ice run down a gulley from above St Moritz to the village of Celerina and drops more than 500 feet.
Riders go down head-first and, with gradients as steep as 1 in 2.8, reach speeds of up to 130 kph!!

Another old girl. This 500C. It’s a 1969 mod. I took my CPL-H course in this 500C in 2005 (30 hours). The photographer is me, and the pictures are from the southern part of Norway the summer of 2005.

Tamworth Westpac Rescue Helicopter
VH-HRR, about to get a wash. I previously had this as the one that crashed, but I was mistaken. It was actually HRT that crashed.
