Would I stand a chance getting a job anywhere in the Gulf with a JAA frozen ATPL ME IR(H) and little more than 1000 piston hours?

Update on ADA
It's been 5 years since I did some flying for ADA. I'm thinking of maybe going back. Can someone tell me how things are going there right now. Any change with the accomadations? How's the managment and how's the pay?

My understanding is that the numbers still stand but most of the positions will be filled by UAE Nationals which will of course limit the number of Expats required for the program.

We have some up coming requirements for experienced ex-military SAR helicopter pilots.
The ideal applicant will be very well experienced in the SAR role, and have experience of NVG flying. Having previously held a QHI rating would be a distincnt advantage.
These positions attract a tax free salary in the region of £65,000 - £75,000 per year, plus a monthly travel allowance of £250 which can be used as the individauls see fit. Accomodation is also being provided for the length of the contract.

I see they now include SAR on their website and are asking for SAR Captains.

What are they like etc etc?

After your post I decided to trawl through the whole thread which has made for some interesting reading and explains your post.
It is interesting though that ADA has not been slagged off for quite a while, so I wonder if things have changed.
Any idea how many SAR Guys they require?
