This Kuwait thing
What amuses me is the "Scenic" part. Could it be that it is a cover for oil exploration, spotting enemy troops, or simply watching the skirmish in Iraq from the "other side" of the fence. Or is it some rich kid wanna be posting a jokular job ad to find out how many desperate souls out there are willing to go through hell just to get the first job or stay in the job.

Anyway, just a thought

Hmmm,
Anyone want my job? Approx 450-500 hours a year in offshore oil support, once in a while you get some VIP flights.. 20-25k Sterling a year... lol.
But that's on local terms... if you're on expat terms.. you get what i don't.. free housing... plus more allowances, which in itself amounts to my basic salary!.. free business class tickets to your country of origin for your WHOLE family... and a free conversion to the S92! all in all.. you can actually demand management (they really want pilots) to give you what the north sea guys are getting... sounds good? good luck... maybe it'll work out for you as it ain't working out for me.

Middle East job
The sad thing is someone will apply for this, only in the Pilot trade do we have occasions where people rock up to an employer and offer to do the job cheaper than the last guy. My plumber or car mechanic never does that, which is why they are paid more than Pilots!
The wage quoted is a p+ss take, however, Gulf Helis pay less if you are a co-jo! But still people go there.
I was involved in a conversation (dispute) at the UK's famous Eurocopter facility at Oxford, where they had advised a buyer of a new AS355N that he must not pay more than £42K a year for a corporate pilot. That's for an IR holder, flying someone worth X million. He'll end with a Pilot perhaps worth exactly that. The list of applicants may have the odd person worthy and safe needing a local placement but I bet they haven't needed a shi**y stick to keep the well qualified and experienced applicants away.

I love the on line application form that says something like, "what is your expected salary?" If you enter $50k USD as a multie eng IFR CAPT, with ++++ experience, I gaurantee they will give you a call. Now if your market value is $120+k USD, I gaurantee you will be waiting for the phone call for some time.
I applied several yrs ago with +++++ experience on what they advertised on their web site. When I entered the market value of the skill set I posess, well you know how this ends....... No contact.
No loss. Moving on.
Good Luck.

I was looking at the Gulf Helicopters webpage and i noticed in the application page for pilots, asking for S92 experiance Are they planning on purchasing S92's in the near future?
Btw do they operate single crew or multi-crew?

Why forget it?
Emirs flight or not, the first trainees are off to the states next month to start training on the vibrator, or is now dampened enough to be called a helicopter? Be interested to see how this one pans out.
First flights in July in Doha, which is a bit like saying it'll all be over by christmas.
