It's a no for me.

I assumed as much after the disaster of the pilot announcement exercise but glad to have it finally in writing.

Best of luck to everyone left in!

Just got my email it states the flight school will contact me directly.

Edit: I didn't see all the ones above. Congratulations to all and to those of you who didn't get the news you hoped for, keep pushing! We all still have a long way to go.

I got through - despite all the anguish earlier in the week. Well done those making it.

To those who didn't, I'm sorry and I truly know how you feel (last few days). Keep pushing, keep going, and dont let it get you down.

Nice work everyone, congratulations to all those who have been invited to the next stage of the recruitment process! To those who have not been successful, please do not let this setback put you off! Resilience and determination are key competences for pilots so don't be put off from trying again when the application window reopens! All the best

And it's a no for me!
After getting this far and doing a flawless PA, with a well-tailored CV and kickass Motivation, it's a shame I'll never know what the reason was.
Well done to all those going forwards Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that, out of curiosity did your flight school ever change?

For anyone who made it to flight school interview stage with Skyborne last year - was it all online for both the testing and the interview?

Got the no about an hour ago- sucks but already knew that 18 year olds have even worse odds than the norm for this!

Well done and congrats to everyone who got through!

Sadly it is the end of the road for me, got the rejection email about an hour ago. I think my PA was excellent so it may have just been down to my CV.

If the scheme is still running in 2028 I may reapply when I finish my masters.

Good luck to anyone who is still waiting!

You have age on your side...don't let this dishearten you

Thanks- it’s an odd feeling seeing everyone else at my age have a nice neat uni offer lined up (including myself) but my heart is in aviation- the good news is that the timeframe for applications etc is now back in my hands and I can solely concentrate on the rest of my exams!

Exactly!! Keep focusing on the exams, you got this!! Keep applying for all the schemes also (you'll qualify for Aer Lingus next year as you'll have your A-Levels)
