Are you able to give us a rough idea of what kinds of things to look at in the lead up to the aptitude tests/assessment days? Thank you

Hey Sarah (assuming that's your name)
That's very kind of you for this offer and if I get through to the next stage then I'll be sure to fire a question or two over.
I'm assuming that you've done the PAX announcement are waiting too?

Update!

We'll have to wait until the middle of next week! Bit frustrating but the update is definitely appreciated given we've waited so long.
I'm also thinking that it's not necessarily good news. Assuming that the people who have recieved rejections after the Pax announcement simply failed that task, everyone else could still be rejected based on other parts of their application.

However the fact that hasn't been any interim email to say "we're sorry it's taking longer than expected, we now expect to come back to you by..." is poor in my humble opinion. A recruitment process should go both ways, and as an employer they should work to make themselves appealing to candidates, as much as candidates spend hours going through application forms and testing to appeal to them.

Let's hope they put us all out of our misery soon and we finally get an answer on whether or not we are progressing to the assessment centre stage!

Wishing you all good luck!
They must have read your post!

Thank you for your application to the Speedbird Pilot Academy. We appreciate the time and effort you have put in so far on the online testing and audio activity.

We expect to have an update for you on your application by the middle of next week. We have had to extend our timeframes on this, but hope you understand that this is due to us individually reviewing each application, which is an important part of our assessment process.

Thank you for your understanding, and best of luck with your application.

Exactly my thoughts...at least I can stop refreshing my emails for another week or so. Not going to lie, my heart sank a bit as the first paragraph of the email was worded very like a rejection email.

I remember someone said here that the CV & application form review was done post-checking test, prior to being invited to the PA, however I could speculate they have more applicants passing the PA than initially forecast and now have to start cutting that down using other means (ie. top performers on the online assessments or back through CV/application)

I'm not one to wish my life away but roll on the next week!!

Do you think CVs and applications were definitely checked before being invited for the PAX audio test?

Hi! Have you applied this year? Sounds like you were a Jerez applicant last year?

I was a Skyborne applicant. We didn't have a joystick exercise, would love to hear more about it.

Thank you!

Hi, did you do the CUT-e tests and if so, was the moving white balls test as hard as the practice ones are? I consistently get around 40-50% and it's quite demotivating. Thank you!

The psychometric tests come after the assessment day and are very similar to the Cut-e tests like the balls. The tests get harder the better you are so just don’t panic.
