Just got my rejection letter. Can't help but feel that I only have been rejected cause of my non-british accent since I have been a Cabin Crew before and I have done hundreds of PAs throughout my career.
Nevertheless congratulations to everyone going to the next stage! Good luck!

Well done on your progress however, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". You have done all the hard work to take & pass your first ATPLs so TAKE THEM while the momentum is there. This is within your control getting selected for BA is not, nothing more than an outside chance gamble.

Very surprised I've been progressed to the next stage but in a bit of a dilemma, ready to sit my mod 1 ATPL exams but will see if its possible to cancel. Looks like I should be due a refund as they are more than 2 weeks away. Anyone else in a similar sitation and unsure what to do, go for BA and delay ATPLs or just focus on ATPLs?

Like you say, the assignment of a flight school on the application doesn't mean much I guess -- been quite an up-and-down 24 hours!

Hi all,
Congrats to those through to the next stage. For those less lucky, i empathise with you, all i can say is to not give up and to try again with the valuable info gathered this time around.
For those who recieved an invite to the Skyborne assessments, the email wasn't very clear so im not sure where i login to do them and how long i have. Any help is much appreciated! (:

Gutted to receive my rejection email earlier today, although congratulations to all those progressing to the next stage. Given there's no feedback on the rejection email, just wondering if rejections at this stage are solely based on the PA exercise, and not through CV/motivation question? Would like to know where I went wrong to improve for next year.

I wouldn't let it get to you. Someone at a local flying club got rejected for last years cohort at the first stage. He had just finished his PPL at the time and was beginning his hour building. He has just finished his fATPL and got a right hand seat with a major airliner in the last few weeks.

It is all a lottery at this stage. No one can judge how good a pilot you are going to be with three basic tests and a PA announcement.

Quick question about the Aon practice tests: I am struggling a bit with the tunnel test. I think it is due to trying to use a laptop keyboard. Is anyone finding this easier using a pc keyboard/mouse/joystick instead?

I’m curious if the screenshots in the preparation guidance you are sent looks anything like the real deal? Thanks.

Agreed, I completed about 12 or 13 on that one, out of 18. 20 seconds to read the question, find the correct tab and decipher the info and select the correct answer is tough! The tests overall were fun though.

18 questions? 20 seconds per question really does not sound like a lot of time. I’m assuming the actual calculations required have to be quite basic to reflect this?

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Just a question about providing the references... I presume when we add current employers, they're not going to reach out to them until we're closer to the course start date?
I'm sure we can all understand the awkwardness of current employers knowing we might possibly leave months from now XD

The online application now has an option to add 3 years of references but when you go to add them it does say "This section is optional. Click the 'Cancel' button below if you do not wish to provide this information."
The email they sent was more about right to work and adding GCSE results or do we need to add the references as well?
