Hi everyone, I’m new here and wondering if you good people could help with advice (before I contact the Speedbird Recruitment team).
Having sat the PA announcement on the 21st Feb, I have this morning received a holding email from the recruitment team to update that they are still reviewing material, but in the interim to upload supporting documents (eg., exam certificates & proof of right to live and work in the UK).
My question is simple, can anyone advise how to upload these documents? I’ve searched the portal and the option to upload documents is not available (it was on initial application). Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix? If not I’ll email the recruitment team as I suspect I won’t be the only one with this question.
Thank-you all ☺️

Are you sure you passed the detail checking test? (tongue in cheek!)

Thankyou
my email was slightly different and it looks like they have edited since I contacted them.
“Thank you for your interest in the Speedbird Pilot Academy opportunity and for your patience as we review applications. We truly appreciate your time and effort.
We will be sending the outcomes as soon as possible. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to start gathering and uploading the required documents, including proof of your unrestricted right to live and work in the UK, and certificates of meeting the minimum educational requirements. Ensuring these are ready in advance will help streamline the next steps, should your application be successful.
If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to updating you soon.
Best wishes,
Pilot Recruitment Team”

They didn't quite ask- but it doesn't matter anyway as if you get to the assessment centre, they'll want physical copies brought along.

Application Changes to Flying Schools
I was expecting to see a change, but my daughter's is still showing BA. Can you guide me to whereabouts on your application does it reflect the change to the flying school?
Good luck everyone!

If you login to the careers portal you'll be able to view your application. The title might have changed to include your flight school which probably means you've moved onto stage 2. It's the same link provided when you got sent your tests earlier.
For anyone else like myself who hasn't had theirs updated yet try not to worry about it, it took almost 5 days last year for everyone's to be updated. Although, admittedly we've no idea if this will be the case this time around or not.

Got my rejection email today but no feedback as to why 🙁
I don’t think I would have been able to do it anyway, as I don’t know how I would survive with no income for 2 years with a mortgage and bills and high cost of living and a single parent to my 19 year old daughter
And then having to pay back £100k over 6 years too.
And the fact I am aged 49.
So that’s it now, my dream will always remain a dream and the cost barrier is always there even if sponsored.
Good luck to everyone else

I was also a bit apprehensive of the 6 year grip BA have on you but a job at the end is a golden ticket. At least now I can focus on my modular training which I am in the fortunate position of having the money for. Have my Met exam this Friday and looking at the weather hopefully some solo circuits in a Cessna. All being well I should have my fATPL by next summer anyway.

Hope you have better luck than me as I just got my rejection letter through. Obviously rejection is never nice but at least I know I passed the initial exams and failed on the tick box exercise which is basically a lottery.
