Motivational statements are almost certainly being read before progession to PA, obviously not everyone is being progressed as the PAs are probably more onerous to review.

Some people are hearing back about the PA the day after their final checking test (someone I know sat the test literally 36 hours ago and already has a PA invite!) whilst others are waiting days having sat it a week ago so it appears to be random when this takes place but it'll be complete probably by the end of the coming week.

This is similar to.what happened to me. Checking test done on the 16th. PA invite on the 18th. Subsequently, I have not received any of the 'you'll hear by 7th March' emails, however- the PA invite does say 'you'll hear from us in mid-March'. From a group on whatsapp, it does seem that a load of those who didn't receive PA invites, have also received a 'you'll hear by 7th March' so I assume they are working through the backlog, or, put on a different pile.

Are you talking about people who have actually received confirmation of succession to stage 2 or just those who have completed their PA. (Has anyone been told they've been successful with their PAs yet?)

Software/Technical Difficulties - will the recruitment team reset it for me?

During the first 30 seconds of Question 1 (Video Interview Stage), my screen went blank causing me to pause and stop completely. I am not sure if it is related, but I had issues logging into the portal for the past hour with a continuous loading symbol. When it came back online, it had around 30 seconds left on that timer where it has the options 'record again or submit question'. I assumed that it would just automatically start recording for the second attempt without me having to press anything when the countdown went to zero. It then moved me on to Question 2 without allowing me to record the other two attempts. Even when I went to press start question 2 it just had this continuous loading cycle on my browser causing it to crash and refresh locking me out completely.

I have emailed the Speedbird Academy email address, but I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered an issue like this before and if so how did BA deal with it since it just doesn't feel fair that it glitched during the first recording then gave me seconds to click either record again or submit question with timer running out going to next question and even that not working properly. I do hope they don't say tough luck as I now feel awful.

I had the same thing just now as well! Been faced with a blank screen and can't refresh as I fear I'll lose Q1 recording information, or locking me out completely. May I have the email for the BA tech team as well? Many thanks! + All the best, hopefully it will resolve!

Not sure anymore as I was going off what the flight schools usually do, and what PilotAssessments.com says. It seems FTEJerez normally do a physics test whereas Skyborne don't. However they said that each flight school will be doing the same assessments so that neither school is easier.

While this situation sucks, I am so glad that it isn’t just me… I felt devastated when I got an error message and the whole thing went and now cannot even open it again. Hopefully, if this is happening to multiple people we can have the link reset as it is not fair otherwise to be out due to issues on BA’s side. The email is
@[email protected]
Let’s hope for the best, and fingers crossed!

Cheers mate, yeah hopefully BA can get it sorted, the stress it's giving us is mental. It can't end like this. However, there's still some time before official deadline 6th of March for us to do a new PA test!

Hi all, I've just finished my Checking test this evening (7pm ish on 2nd March) in case it is useful info regarding timings of the process. After the Maths test (completed 26th February), they took 2 days to assign the Checking test. I therefore had from 28th February until today to complete it. I guess the next step for me (if successful is the PA recording). Good luck everyone!

Sorry this isn't helpful to your question but does this mean some people have progressed to the Video Interview Stage already?

Has anyone recieved rejections yet? Wondering whether they are giving rolling rejections similar to the way they are giving next stages out. Or whether all rejections will be sent at once

I doubt these have been sent out however this could be the week. That email about ongoing reviews with the promise to hear back by 07 March, especially for those awaiting PA invites for that long, should be the corner stone.
The reality should be imminent.

Well I would say those who haven’t received a PA invite myself included should assume a rejection is most likely. I only say this as I didn’t realise there was a pre application guidance to download and the importance of the motivational question, similar to the train drivers above. I did apply very late into the process so rushed through that part giving a very generic answer. I was a Wordsworth for my thesis not a question on reasons for joining an airline training programme 😂

Yeah, I wasn't aware of that too until I had applied. Oh well, preparation is key in this field!
