I'd like to think they whittled it down more than that in that phase to make the effort worthwhile. Still, at least we can establish the most pessimistic outlook, which is that there's a 1-in-2 chance of success at this stage, assuming they're happy to take all 200.
apparently there were 370 left for skyborne at the last stage? So I’m not sure if 440 sounds realistic as (if 370 is right) then 70 FTE left seems quite small.

I got my interview offer too - becoming very real now. Hopefully the odds have improved, but we shall see.

I feel the same way, pressure is definitely on. Anyone that got to this stage last year able to say what types of questions were asked for the speedy interviews? Was it competency/situation based, or questions about yourself etc.

Putting it at 3x8x15 candidates, which is 360 candidates for 200 positions. So maybe slightly better odds than 1 in 2, more like 56% chance of getting through. Again that's purely speculation, maybe someone who got through last time knows more about the structure of the assessment day.

Best of luck to everyone!
Interesting. Think I only saw one week of available assessment day slots and I booked about 30 seconds after the email came through. What range of dates were available to you if you can remember?

FTE are only attending for 1 week before the Skyborne candidates...so add another 100 ish candidates on to that number for the total. I'm sure the final numbers will be confirmed at Waterside.

FTE available dates were 25th - 31st July as far as I'm aware

Makes sense. So do Skyborne have 2 weeks of assessments after ours?

Skyborne is 1st - 16th August IIRC, so another 12 dates on top of the 5 FTE dates.

IIRC the odds of getting in were 1/2 in the final stage. Does that mean by doubling the intake odds are much much higher?

At this stage, I don't think anyone can say for certain — we can only make assumptions. We have an idea of how many days have been allocated to the final stage, but it's not clear how many people will attend each day. Depending on how they structure the process, there's easily scope to assess 400 people. It's also worth considering that they have the option to take up to 200 cadets. I expect they'd like to fill all 200 places, but I also suspect they won't drop standards to achieve that.

All that to say, calculating the odds of any one person being successful isn't as simple as determining the number of people in the final stage.

If we need to provide qualification copies, does that mean they've not checked our gcse/equivalent results thus far? If they have, why do they require them again?

They believe you've been telling the truth up until now!

I think originals if im honest, might be worth emailing the recruitment team.
