On completion of the Cabair Integrated...
What happens? Im a virgin to this.
Do you go and try and get a job as a first officer? And then wait years before trying as the pilot?

Based on your above comments I would suggest you have a good read about flying careers before you sign up with Cabair.
A first officer is a pilot, it's just a rank, and yeh it's a bit like University... You pay loads of cash to get your qualification and as soon as you have done they kick you out and don't take an interest in you... Although Cabair will cost you about double the price of the course because they have a better marketing team.

Grambo, is this a wind up. A First Officer is a Pilot.
Did you just come out of the Career Advice bureau having gone in with a few ideas about what you want to do when you leave school?

Pilot
Porno Camera man
Sun Page 3 editor.
Seriously, even the most ridculous posters come here with at least a little information on being a pilot.

Sorry, but it was not a windup. I am 18. Ive just started reading about this yesterday...
A first officer is a pilot.
What is the average age for Cabair entrees?
And how important is a degree? I dont think you need one for Cabair, but do airlines look for it?

Grambo,
The top message in this forum is called stickies and one of the posts states "Please Read before you ask a question". And it has a links to perhaps the 2 most important questions any wannabee (that is you) needs to know:
Do You Really Want To Do This?
Is It All Worth It?
It then answers a few more questions once you have decided the pilot life is for you:
What course should you take?
A Question for the Professionals
The never-ending 'Modular vs. Integrated' debate.
How important are the ATPL exam marks?
And then the small matter of money:
What does it cost, and where does the money come from?
The Cost of Achieving that fATPL
Funding For Flying Training
Spend about a week or so reading every single page - take it all with a pinch of salt.
The read the follwoing threads:
What qualifications should you attempt at school/university when looking towards airline sponsorships?
What A-levels (and degree course)?
Should you get a degree, or not?
University or not?
Then come back to us and we will put you in touch with a guy called WWW - Wee Weasley Welshman. He is our resident-in-chief economist and soothsayer
