Is Jeffrey Dahmer a Bassa rep? Just that I haven't seen him mentioned previously.

Fincastle:

Jeffrey Dahmer was a quite twisted individual who preyed on men, killed them and then experimented with cannabalism. I believe he was killed in prison.

BA union threatens to widen cabin crew dispute | Business | guardian.co.uk

"Tony Woodley, joint general secretary of Unite, said he was calling a meeting of shop stewards across the airline to warn staff that BA was determined to reduce Unite's power within the carrier."

Sounds like a desperate last act, everything else has failed - but have not all the other BA unite branches come to negotiated agreements with BA - (with the exception of BASSA)

I hope we gather some insight into other departments feelings regarding this issue on other forums at PPRuNe.

I can't think of a less sympathetic division in BA to ask for others support. BASSA seems to dismiss and denigrate other units contributions at every opportunity.

VERY extreme, same here! Maybe we've caught extremism from Bassa as that seems to be their MO.

With reference to your KEEP CALM, CARRY ON advice I suspect you're preaching to the converted. F84's history speaks for itself IMO.

Finky lives on another Planet, so his views are irrelevant!!
And the idea of him becoming an extremist is just too awful to contemplate.

You Kipper Fleet guys stick together regardless, don't you!

Like sh*t to a blanket. There's some really good MPA banter on the MRA4 thread. You won't understand MPN11, it's a bit technical!!!

And I was under the impression that a martyr was the name of a wild rambling rose .......

and that of course leads to satire ? - satyrs ? - this Greek methodology gets very confusing ........... but the 5 star methodology is very good .........

Oh, thanks. Taaart.

MRA4 is a bit modern for me, though.
I'm basically a valves and chinagraph sort of person.

Oh, and doing Basic on biplanes

And back on to the thread. As an occasional BA flyer (fly to YYC and they have the best times) but one who has made it to the dizzy heights of Sliver Club I so hope that the end is soon for this farce that is laughably called Industrial Action. I would say in-action but....

The question is would other departments going on strike not be considered secondary action, giving BA even wide legal basis to sue Unite???

I would be very interested in what the other Reps tell TW, will he go public if they all tell him to sod off and tell BAASA to stop being so stupid. That would make me smile. In fact the very fact he has come out in public about this does he stand the Union in to danger.

Our membership is about 10,000, which makes us the largest branch of Unite.

about 10,000 - good increase in membership - 9250 earlier today

Which means I am nearly rich......

If only BA would ring up Unite and say "Right prove you have the numbers and are able to represent the workforce... Sorry you don't know the numbers. Well thank you but goodbye."

I still think the smart move for BA would be to start a worker council at Gatwick. Get a proper run inclusive working committee with reps across the cabin crew ie not just CSDs. With modern digital systems any collective agreements could be sent to the cabin crew via internal email for them to all vote for what they want. My god real democracy in BA Cabin Crew.

That's a bit punchy for a newcomer to this thread. Please show a little more respect to the VERY senior (by age) members of this forum. MPN11 is a very sensitive being. Otherwise we might send you camping in YYC in January!

I can only offer humble apologies if I have offended a Crab. No malice was meant it is just the Armed Forces humour that we Matelots and or the Pongos are famous for.

Mind you MPN11 chinagraphs still very much the weapon of choice. It does tend to upset the maintainers when you use in on a plastic LCD screen but hay life in a blue suit. I also have that warm feeling when ever I need to unravel a bit more of the paper from the end of the pencil. Don't know why.
