The 90 mile beach piccy.....
I spot at least 3 good snapper fishing spots right there:8 Pity I'm in the UK...Bugger! |
Whitianga/Mercury Bay?
The Rugby Ground, the main road, and the Marina kinda give it away. Hot water beach is about 1 mile to the south of the piccy...:) Am I right??? (plus my first 500hrs was flying around the Peninsula) |
hey kiwihockeyguy - that's actually Ruapehu, although granted the slopes of Ngaruhoe can just be seen to the left. and is that a VFR flight?

Town was a $9 taxi ride from the airfield. The coffee was good, can't remember the cafe but they served Ozone coffee from NP.
Loving the Allpress Coffee bar at AA domestic too. About time! |
No prizes for figuring this one out - worlds largest windsock, also comes in handy for estimating cloud levels AGL....:)

JAMAIR
Could that be Mourilyan Mill? been a while since I have seen the mills, but if so I believe your windsock is now bent over due a cyclone last March:eek: J:ok: |
Nope, this one still stands - and in fact the one pictured is the smaller of the two largest ones..... In fact it is a dead give away with the name on the side of the building there and all.... :oh:
|
Well it must be Marion Mill assuming that you are reffering to two mills close by, as in Racecourse and Marion Mills.
Invicta Mill further north might be bigger in capacity than Marion, but not like Racecourse. As for the name on the side.....can't read that :ouch: J:ok: |
Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! :} :} :}
J430, small hint. The town is very widely known as being the emitter of the most airborn pollutants in Oz. :ugh: |
I'll be the dil
It has to be Racecouse Mill East J430 is getting close Obviously the Mt Isa sign didn't help How does he see out the window to fly |
Funny B@stards
OK OK OK
I gather the signage says Mount Isa Mines.......but how the heck can you see that on ya laptop!!!!!:ouch: As for Racecorse Mill East.....I gather you mean east:ugh: ....98% around the globe EAST.........might be not real good at reading a few pixels but MIM is WEST of Mackay, and a bit north also:} So i guess the sugar is scarce to.....:E Bloody funny few posts now, glad I provided some light entertainment for you lot!:p :p Going to dig up some hard ones for you guys now:oh: J:ok: |
