"Gotta say though... people need to find another song for their aviation videos!!"

I was thinking the same thing Slackie. That, Enya, and anything from Top Gun should be banned from videos. That video was pretty good though.

Tried watching the video but it kept stopping for about 5 seconds, then running for about 5 seconds and stopping etc. What gives?

And I had the volume off!

Which one - the Dak or the Cessna sitting beside it? I like 'em both!

I am chuckling at the 3 gold bars and matching flight overalls that appear to be required to operate a Robinson 22 Thought the w-anker bars were just a fixed wing thing

At least most FW crews resist the urge to wear skin-tight flights suits, helmets and gloves .... don't they Harry Cooper....

Geez you are hard, if I was in one of those things I would want to be in Nomex.

Looking carefully at the Joe in the left (instructor) seat, he has a dual personality issue as well, with the Union Flag on his right shoulder and the Australian flag on his left

Re the flight suits, the majority of operators these days contribute to Mr Sisley's retirement fund and wear two piece nomex suits. Practical, comfortable and fire resistant I have seen them in use as company issue from offshore to fire ops to utility to scenic to instructing. And apart from the silly shoulder bars, I heartily endorse the use of them for helicopter ops

Photo no.1 also reminds me that you don't get into an R22, you put it on.......

You are dead right there John and no offence indended. They are quite different ops to FW and do indeed require additional equipment for safety and comfort. Years back in FW ultralights almost everyone wore helmets, but that now appears to be a thing of the past for all but a few pilots.

Ah yes, the nomex flight suit to give you more chance in case of fire. Looks pretty sexy in the cafe at lunchtime also.

Personally, I would be reaching for a bone dome first - before donning the fire resistant suit, which isn't going to help you much if you are unconcious when it goes "WOOMP"!

Of course you would: if you are less than 5ft tall and able to wear a bone dome in an R22

Did you happen to notice the headroom available with that sexy peaked cap, perchance? Have you done much flying in rotary, and found why two piece nomex suits are (as I mentioned) favoured by operators around Australia, from IFR offshore to instructing?

Hmmmmm

Not to me it doesn't - not high enough for a Queenair & tail dihedral is wrong. Looks like a C404.
