Is that shot on the tarmac at Whitsunday Airport/Shute Harbour?
I was there in '08 when there was just half of the gravel runway.

I remember back then the other caravan with the same colours, vh-ham, at hammo getting an 'end of day bath' and then followed us to shute. I think ham's floats have been removed and she's now in kunna's. I'm sure I have a shot of the 2 caravans and 5 beavers (I think) ready for bed at shute.
Great shots guys.

It's busy over Horsham

A mate sent me this pic taken Monday 13th June (I think?) at Horsham. He said the 3 distant aircraft each carried out holding patterns after the photo was taken and the closest one changed heading.

A de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide and a Yak 50, outside the AOPA hangar at Bankstown. The DH.89 had just returned from a short flight.

I believe there's a select few who have seen the pics and the aftermath ones of that expedition into the '**** my pants' moment.

Wasn't that the Race Car Driver who got behind the wheel for a bit of fun at Hamo and ended up wet?

Was it Mark Webber?

boocs and Wally are spot on, although the runway was apparently RW08/26 (approaching threshold RW08)! As Dangnammit suggests there are a lot more photos to this incident, but rumour has it that this "oh ****" moment happened after having kept the lefthand main in the air for 12 seconds!

Did you recall my post from a few years ago It was not publicised anywhere else that I know of. Kept very much under wraps.

Lets just say it was a retired V8 supercar driver and team owner, who might have been doing a video shoot for AUDI at the Hammo race week.........

Luckily BJ survived
