From what I understand, any Beaver with a middle pitch control was built for the US military. Any aircraft with the pitch on the left hand side were designed for civil use.

some don't even have the same knobs... just ads to the character of the Beaver.
Some of the earlies had coloured knobs, the AG one's were a fair mix of machinery with stuff straight from the factory and others from lotsa other places including ex military stuff. After a few years they had all sorts of parts with a few having U-6 wings with hard points. Most of the tip tanks were U-6 stuff. I think all the quadrants were converted in hangar 17 at Bankstown to be the same.

17hours since last Friday. Goes dam fine.
145-150 ktias at 25"/2300rpm, 72lph.
I will discover some more reasonable power settings once it is run in.
The ground recedes at a faster rate than with the io-520.
Watchin origin in the Jundah hotel.
