Comments that "3,000" Russian homes have been destroyed in Belgorod, That is impressive as a statistic, assume that it would take the Russian air and army might to achieve that level or civilian damage, not seen as yet by anything as evidence. A bit of satellite time would be worth the effort overhead.

Russia misses the irony of calling Ukraine terrorists for using drones etc to attack military targets inside Russia that are part of the criminal action against Ukraine by Moscow. Apparently they forgot they invaded a sovereign country in 2014, shot down an airliner, murdered civilians, and targeted civil populations, transported populations etc... seems "terrorist" meaning is rather dependent on opinion not facts.

And still Putin shows zero embarrassment in his indignant objection to his side, that has been attacking criminally his neighbour for 16 months, doing exactly what he now proclaims is a "Terrorist Act". Putin continues to target civilian targets, Ukraine's attacks have almost exclusively been on military targets. Putin is an agent of terror, which has a poor record of achieving desired political outcomes, it does the opposite, it unites hatred of those that perpetrate the attacks, and Putin should take note that the support of Ukraine considers Russia's deliberate targeting of civilian population to be acts of terror, and Ukraine continues to attack military targets of a criminal, terrorist state. The Baltic govt got it right, Russia is a terrorist state under Putin, about damn time the rest of the world came to the same determination.

Does Putin have a retirement plan?

If this is true then even the best Russian air defence system S-400 Triumph is unable to defend itself from HIMARS although it should be able to track and shoot down ballistic missiles.

Europe’s leaders meet in Russia’s shadow

CHIȘINĂU — Gathering more than 40 European leaders in Moldova on Thursday will be a symbolic thumb in Vladimir Putin’s eye — a sign of collective commitment to join hands against Moscow.

It’s also a major risk.

Literally and metaphorically, the so-called European Political Community’s second summit is taking place in Russia’s backyard, a region Putin sees as part of Moscow’s sphere of influence. That makes getting several dozen world leaders in and out no easy task.

Moldova has closed its airspace for the duration of the summit and NATO surveillance planes will keep a watchful eye — a nod to the constant threat of Russian incursions. Access to the main airport has been restricted — a recognition of the myriad fake bomb alerts there since the start of the war…..

In addition to the aviation restrictions, the country is essentially locking in residents near Castle Mimi, a winery strategically chosen to host the summit 35 kilometers outside the capital, Chișinău.

Locals have been asked to carry special permits to leave their homes while leaders are around and Moldovans have been given a public holiday.

Journalists are also only permitted to travel to Castle Mimi on two specially chartered trains, leaving at 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. from the Chișinău central train station….
