Satellite image of the attack on the Crimean airbase showing fire.
Dad's Annoyed.
Meanwhile in Russia: appearing on state TV, retired Colonel Konstantin Sivkov, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, suggested blowing up the North Pole if that's what it takes to teach the West a lesson.

Cleaning up the damage in the Odesa Cathedral. Let’s hope they keep the bagged rubble as parts of it may help in the reconstruction.

Someones really forgetting that Poland is a member of NATO and very well equipped member, too.
Alexander Lukashenko, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, has said that the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC) fighters are "stressing him out" because they want to attack Poland.
Source: Lukashenko at a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg, quoted by his press service
Quote from Lukashenko:"The Wagner mercenaries have started to stress us out - they want to go to the West, saying: ‘Let's go on an excursion to Warsaw and Rzeszów!’"

Ecce Homo! Loquitur...
Ukraine, the Suwalki Gap or the Baltic states? And what about the Wagner troops?
Decisions, decisions, decisions…
⚡️Lukashenko gave the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly the power to approve the military doctrine, to impose a state of emergency and martial law, and to send Belarusian servicemen to other countries — Belarusian Media

New York Times stil employing and publishing articles by a Russian reporter.
Puts a large caveat on any war related articles they publish…
Why did the NYT publish such a bizarre article, which normalised a mass murdering russian terrorist and invasion commander as a mere “critic of Putin’s war effort”?
Meet its author, NYT reporter Ivan Nechepurenko, a russian national who still lives in russia.
Ivan denies russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, promotes Kremlin narratives about a Ukrainian civil war that is the West’s fault, advocates that the West accept Crimea as russia, ‘expertly’ explained in 2015 that russia had no interest in Ukraine [beyond Crimea], ‘expertly’ dismissed the build up to the full scale war in early 2022 as a “reality show”, and very frequently retweets other prominent russian chauvinists with dodgy Kremlin connections and equally awful analysis about russia over the past decade. His timeline is exactly what you’d expect: @INechepurenko.
This is who the NYT thinks is capable of explaining “Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other former Soviet republics”.
Not really a mystery why that article was so bad.
I sometimes think people in my replies are too harsh on the NYT as a whole whenever they get something wrong, but this seriously reflects badly on the whole outfit. Ivan Nechepurenko is like a parody of a russian chauvinist. I genuinely thought it was a joke when I first heard that article was written by an Ivan in Moscow.

If he's complaining about this story: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/21/w...sultPosition=5 I don't know why.
The Times article includes this paragraph to describe Igor Girkin.
A popular nationalist blogger, Mr. Girkin has been increasingly critical of the Russian Army’s leadership and the way it has managed the war in Ukraine. He has argued for a more robust mobilization of Russian society and its economy to support the war effort, as well as a purge of those who oppose the invasion.
