In war you cannot hide, they will find you and identify you.

I am not sure if this is a major advance or not.

More on that.

Fighters of the 1st Mechanised Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine completely defeated the 3rd Battalion of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation and cleared the western bank of the Siverskyi Donets – Donbas canal from Russians on the Bakhmut front.

Source: Andrii Biletskyi, the commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, in a video address

Quote: "Today, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 1st Mechanised Battalion carried out offensive operations, and the 3rd Battalion of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation was defeated. This battalion ceased to exist as an organised military force. More than 30 killed enemies, dozens of prisoners, half a hundred wounded...

The western bank of the Siverskyi Donets – Donbas channel has been completely cleared of the enemy. The bridgehead no longer exists on the west bank."

That appears to be a fair way past Bakhmut.

Yesterday:

"In the temporarily occupied Dniprorudny of the Zaporizhzhia region, partisans blew up the bridge through which the Russian invaders were transporting weapons and heavy equipment" - said the Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoly Shtefan

Already mentioned.

MODS

Just a thank you from me on how you have handled the insurrection and moved the posts, I realise it will have caused you quite a bit of work. It was just one of those events that overlapped threads being a military manoeuvre but involving politics. At least the world is a bit more stable again this morning… I hope.

After a suitable period of time (to reduce suspicion) Lukashenko will succumb to his long illness and in the interim period Prigozhin will take over as Steward of Belarus.

That is until it is his turn to fall out of a window. Make no mistake, as long as Prigozhin remains alive, he is the person that got concessions out of Putin and made Putin look weak. That is unforgivable from a Russian leadership point of view.
I'm unsure how you reach that conclusion ( my knowledge also only based on news reports ).AFAIK Wagner has withdrawn fully from Rostov: there has been no mention of their retaining control of the H.Q. Since there has also been no mention of Shoigu and Gerasimov being removed from their positions, this would also seem an impossible and unsustainable mixing of responsibilities. The published agreement also refers to the majority of Wagner forces returning to Africa: I see that as Putin's desire to de-fang Prighozin, whereas putting them all in Byelorussia, close to Kiev, would have given Prig. the possibility of attempting a heroic attack on the enemy and once again showing him to be the saviour of the Motherland and Putin to be a weak , little twerp.

Not happy chappies. I don’t think I would have broadcast anything or at least not without masks on.

So new Russian Minister of Defence and head of Army? If true the Shoigu and Geronimo are gone. So the little show makes sense to aid in their removal.

Trench warfare south of Bakhmut. Noteworthy is the amount of communication enabling real team work and success.

Nutty, that bridge drop doesn't look like war activity, it looks like a professional commercial demolition that took a great deal of time to rig.

That wasn’t posted by the original author though, it’s just a gif added by someone else.

Do we know if Wagner fighters will be individually incorporated into various Russian units or they will follow Prigozhin to Belorussia and threaten to open northern front again (or keep Lukashenko in check)? Any other scenario like redeployment to Syria or Africa?

Since Prigozhin has declared the war on Ukraine unjust, one would like to believe that he will no longer get involved in it. On the other hand can we ever believe what a Russian says?
