Ecce Homo! Loquitur...
Still no sign of Gerasimov since the strike on Crimea where he was initially reported to have been killed.
Now he’s being air-brushed from history as well….

This could be bad news ![Frown](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/sowee.gif)
Despite an increase in Russian main battle tank (MBT) and other armoured combat vehicles (ACV) losses over the past three month of fighting in Ukraine, Moscow’s ramping up of its industrial capacity means that it can maintain its current level of offensive activity “for the foreseeable future”, stated the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).In a 29 January 2024 post on the social media platform X, the UK MoD’s Defence Intelligence stated that since early October 2023 Russian ground forces have been on the offensive in eastern Ukraine. During this period, Russian losses have increased with its forces likely losing up to 365 MBTs and 700 ACVs, achieving “minor” territorial gains.
“However, Russia can probably generate at least 100 MBTs per month and therefore retains the ability to replace battlefield losses and continue this level of offensive activity for the foreseeable future,” the UK Defence Intelligence stated.
In addition, UK Defence Intelligence stated that from 24 February 2022 to 25 January 2024, Russian ground forces likely lost around 2,600 MBTs and 4,900 other ACV in Ukraine. Russia losses of combat vehicles in 2023 was around 40% fewer than in 2022.
“It is highly likely that the reduction in armoured vehicle attrition rates was due to the increasing positional nature of the conflict in 2023 and because Russia spent a significant proportion of the year in a defensive posture,” UK Defence Intelligence wrote.

UK MoD: current Russian tank loss rate in Ukraine war sustainable
Russia is able to produce at least 100 MBTs per month according to the UK’s Defence Intelligence, which means Moscow’s losses over the past quarter can be replaced.Despite an increase in Russian main battle tank (MBT) and other armoured combat vehicles (ACV) losses over the past three month of fighting in Ukraine, Moscow’s ramping up of its industrial capacity means that it can maintain its current level of offensive activity “for the foreseeable future”, stated the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).In a 29 January 2024 post on the social media platform X, the UK MoD’s Defence Intelligence stated that since early October 2023 Russian ground forces have been on the offensive in eastern Ukraine. Russia struggling to repair the heating infrastructure.
More fires too.
This says it's a meat processing plant, but I don't know if that is a quip at a recruitment centre.

The sunken Corvette was hit by 6 drones in total, you would struggle to defend all sides with an attack like that.

Well put.
The biggest problem now is war fatigue and loss of unity. Now there are many people who continue to support Ukraine, sometimes even more than at the beginning. And they are hugely grateful for this.
But unfortunately, there are also those people who are “tired” of war. And such people exist not only abroad, but unfortunately, such people also exist among Ukrainians. Internal disputes and quarrels, fatigue from war - this is exactly what the enemy wants and achieves. He wants to destroy us not only physically, but also to suppress us morally. Yes, we all want victory and peace. We all want the war to end quickly. So that our people don't die. So that our children don’t see all this horror. So that our warriors, the pride and heroes of our nation, are alive and with their families. Only a madman wants war.
But now, it is important to understand that we are at war with an enemy who is not just interested in war. This enemy wants to destroy. This enemy wants to seize someone else's property and commit terror. And this enemy will always want to do this. He will not stop wanting this even if a “peace treaty” is signed. And over time, having accumulated new strength, it will do it again. Until he is stopped completely... I believe in the victory of Ukraine. But at the same time, I am a realist, and I understand that this will not be an easy victory. And many trials, many difficulties and challenges await us ahead.
Therefore, it is important not only to believe in Ukraine’s victory... but also to ask yourself every day the question: What will happen if Ukraine loses? What will happen next? It is by asking ourselves this question that we will begin to understand that the war is not over. That our soldiers are now making titanic efforts for our freedom and the security of Europe. And that now, our support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces should be even greater than at the beginning of the war. Otherwise, if Ukraine falls...both Ukraine and the whole world will face catastrophic consequences. The world will face new wars. After all, evil, which got what it wanted and felt its permissiveness and impunity, will only grow. And other evil will grow, which will follow the example of the first.

General Ben Hodges
UAF are running rings around the Kremlin. Russians seem unable to protect energy infrastructure, airplanes on the ground in Crimea, or their Ships. We, the West, should stay out of the business of telling Ukraine how to fight. Just give them the tools.

By what right does Mr Putin continue to impose his miserable unhappiness onto Ukraine? By what right?
None, no right at all.
Shame on you, Mr Putin!
You made a serious mistake choosing Ukraine!

Areport on Balkan media claims that Kuwait may have begun transferring some or all of the 149 M-84AB tanks it purchased from the former Yugoslavia back to the Croatian Djuro Djakovic factory where they were first assembled in the 1980s.
There, they’ll supposedly receive refurbishing—and possibly upgrades—before going to battle against Russian forces invading Ukraine.
Reports of the arrangement appeared in Serbian media, and six of the tan-colored Kuwaiti M-84ABs have reportedly been seen transported on trailer trucks through Slovenia to Croatia.
However, the alleged transfer has not been confirmed by the involved parties.

I wonder if Kuwait gets some new Abrams tanks in exchange for this move.
