UK MoD: Russia has started using their Beriev A-50 AEC&W aircrafts closer to the frontline. Would assume they are preparing for the arrival of western FJ's to the theater.
Would be a shame if one of the flight crew dropped a cigarrette mid flight...

Hmmm. nothing like looking after ones troops... and this is nothing like it.

BREAKING:
Russian General Teplinsky sacrificed 76 soldiers to "distract" Ukrainians on the left bank

"The Cheka-OGPU learned that on November 10, 76 Russian servicemen were killed during an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
They decided to use them as a “distraction maneuver.” This fact is carefully hidden.

As the source said, on November 10, the command of the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 41st combined arms army of the Central Military District received a combat order to march with the forces and means of two battalions to the Golopristansky district of the Kherson region.

This order was initiated by the headquarters of the Dnepr group with the aim of “misleading the Armed Forces of Ukraine” regarding the true intention of the command of the Russian Armed Forces in this area.

Based on the order received, the personnel of the 1st motorized rifle battalion of the 35th Motorized Rifle Brigade were loaded into a vehicle without proper equipment and, as part of two columns, left for the Gladkovka area.
While in Gladkovka, both columns of the 1st MSB were struck by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as a result of which 76 servicemen were killed.
According to the source of the Cheka-OGPU, as part of the investigation into this fact, an investigation into the true causes of the incident is not being conducted.
An attempt is being made to conceal the fact of an obviously criminal order from the group’s command, due to which the military personnel found themselves in the role of a living target."
This was it

Former Russian Commander Who Criticized Putin Found Dead in Mysterious Circumstances
During his time as commander, Lieutenant General Vladimir Sviridov complained about the conditions and poor training of Russian pilots, suggesting things were better under previous presidents.

Found dead with his wife with no apparent signs of the cause of death. It's the tea, I'd say. Or underwear.

It appears the strike on the airfield recently in Crimea took out two Mig 31 and possibly a third.
