They must have got the performance figures from the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Mach 9 lol.
Holy shyte! That must have been one gigantic boom. How gullible are Russian citizens? Quite, I suspect. (Yeah, I know speed doesn't make it louder)

Amid the ongoing debate about the number of operational Ka-52 helicopters on the frontlines, I've analyzed and compiled imagery of bases used for helicopter operations by the Russians. The findings are summarized in this 🧵Thread:

Better yet, the source of that tweet claims to be a UCLA PhD and to "stand with Russia", which no doubt explains his insight that "US aggression toward Russia is all part of an Army funded, Rand Corp plan". WTFTMB

One thing about these twats, Xites, call them what you will, they make even the more unbalanced Jetblast denizens look like mildly responsible, upright citizens with even a smidgen of real expertise to offer, and that's no easy task.

Well this is supported by Slovaks too, actually we just had a memorial day for 17th November 1989 when we started our struggle to liberate ourself from communists and from the grip of Kremlin in then Czechoslovakia.

We fundraised 266.000 € for this Blackhawk just in 24 hours. Our prime minister Fico is not amused...

Russian serviceman explains ingenious drone work by Ukrainian operators who create "drone" ambushes by landing their FPV drones in frequently visited locations or even on top of Russian vehicles, waiting for the owners to return, and exploding while they're in it.

Russia still uses the five pointed star as it's a/c identifier.

Translation

A Leo2A6 in the Avdeevka area using typical Cold War NATO tactics, designed to confront waves of Soviet tanks. Shots of great power and precision and hide so as not to give the enemy time to target you. In Central Europe there would most likely be trees on both sides, you go out to a point with a good field of vision where the trees end, you shoot and come back.

Was that the squint of Clint Eastwood lurking in that cockpit?

You mean like today's German military jets "still wearing" the Eisernes Kreuz of the Kaiserreich (WW1)?

There are only so many insignia/roundels out there that 1) have some national signficance, and 2) are easy to (re)paint - and to recognize in flight. Sometimes you just go with what you've already used.
