At least one Russian tanker escapes between the two shots.

On Reddit so apologies if you are unable to view this:

I'm surprised that a second shot was thought necessary as , as far as I could see - the first shot took off the turret, although the woods may have blocked that from the very limited "periscope" view.

That told him, well said sir and what an excellent put down.

Russian Permanent Representative Nebenzya tried to disrupt Zelenskyy's speech at the UN, he was calmed down by the prime minister of Albania Nebenzya was outraged that Zelenskyy would speak second after UN Secretary General António Guterres. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who chairs the Security Council, explained that the order of speeches had long been agreed upon and was in line with the organization's practice. Nebenzya responded by saying that "the Albanian presidency demonstrates open disregard for the procedures and practices of the UN Security Council, putting NATO-wide political and ideological guidelines above the duties of the Security Council chairmanship." To this Rama replied: "I want to assure our Russian colleagues and all present that this is not a special operation of the Albanian Chairmanship, but a continuation of the long-standing and established practice of the Council, and therefore today's order of speeches fully corresponds to the order of the Council's work. But there is a solution. You stop the war, and President Zelenskyy will not speak."

It looks like the Ukrainians have now got themselves a nice little Agusta 109.

I was working in Constanta recently and it was full of Ukrainians. They didn’t need to swim!

How do you plan to get rid of them? Since they have veto power as a permanent member of the security council every single other country could ask for their expulsion and they would just veto the motion!

Which is correct and thus effectively renders the UN useless!

Vasili Nebenzya is a nauseous voice piece of Vlads. He continues to project Russia's criminal actions as those of the victims to Vlads aggression. It is hard to find a saving grace with many of Vlad's inner circle. At least at the UN the rest can turn down the volume until his lips stop moving. The most recent UNGA Vasili bleated nonsense against well-reasoned statements of fact from a long list of countries, painful to observe the contrast.

I thought that any member that is involved in a of a complaint/motion has to be removed from the discussion/vote ? Having said that though, given the raison d'etre of the UN, I can well believe that there is no procedure to remove/expel any member , particularly a member of the Security Council.

The Black Sea sub fleet has departed Sevastopol….. well, all bar one

Let’s hope it is permanent and not just to carry out a launch.

There is no facility to remove the veto power. So you could vote to remove them from the security council and they will just veto it.

There are rules for all members except the 5 permanent members of the security council with veto rights.
