Ukraine War Thread Part 2
Ecce Homo! Loquitur...
Ukraine successfully tested one of their new long range missile systems that will reportedly be able to reach targets at a distance of 700 km (440-miles) in its final stage of development.
If this is the final 700-km version, then:
-The distance from Odessa to the RusNavy Grigorovich-class Frigate "Admiral Makarov" is 325 km (200-miles);
-The distance from the Ukrainian border to the Kremlin is about to 520 km (320-miles); and,
-The distance from Pavlohrad, Ukraine, to the Russian Southern Military District HQ in Rostov-on-Don is 320 km (200-miles).
Game changer...

Remember the cardboard drone? Well Ukraine has developed a version that flies over the Russian position and explodes delivering thousands of metal splinters in a controlled targeted pattern rather like the Excalibur round does, and it cannot be picked up by radar!

flying claymore - in the deserty parts of the world in the wrong hands would effectively destroy any F35s etc sat under a shelter, all for a few quid. I really hope the MOD/DOD are thinking how in the wrong hands these drones will change everything.
This is something I have been thinking about for some time, I can imagine turning up at any Mil training school in the world and being told that any books you have read on tactics you can throw in the bin. Someone is writing a new book and they have only got to chapter one!

Now you're cooking, Western tech meets Russian armour. Surprised to read they go all out to take out western equipment. These are from a while back but I haven't seen them posted before (June ish)
In this photo, the M2 "Bradley" that destroyed two Russian tanks in one battle! Soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade with the callsigns Prymara, Kach and Bublik on their "Bradley" worked in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
The military already knows that Western equipment is a magnet for the enemy, and as soon as a Bradley appears on the front line, the Russians use everything they have. From grenade launchers to artillery and attack helicopters.
This time, the combat vehicle was initially surrounded by Russian infantry on two sides. And when the invaders were destroyed with an automatic cannon, the Russians announced a real hunt for the Ukrainian "Bradley".
The enemy urgently introduced a pair of T-72s into battle. Both Russian tanks were immediately burned. "Bradley" is equipped with a heavy TOW (Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided) anti-tank missile, which the crew skillfully used. This story was reported by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Malyar

And the definite advantages they provide, which above all others is the primary aim.

The "damaged" IL-76 status is reminiscent of Monty Python and the Holy Grail; "'tis but a mere flesh wound!" One wonders if the condition of RuSSias much vaunted military, and economy has as much face (farce?) validity as their public statements on the trusty Ilushins, (and Kamovs), these planes that are good enough to self immolate in defiance to Vlad the Tiny.
Astonishing Russian reason for the SMO
Around one minute in, a speech by Sergey Naryshkin * -Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia who claims that the SMO happened just at the right time to stop Crimea and Donbass falling into the hands of NATO and becoming "NATO war-crimes ", . Truly if this is believed by many citizens listening to it, it is clear that those will never accept any truth that shows Russia in its true light.
*On reflection, it's unusual that this guy is not pushing up sun-flowers, as he was in position for the launch of the SMO and - one would think - was therefore the chief person responsible for the duff gen passed on to Vlad re Ukrainian military preparedness.

Absolutely astonishing, not only did Ukraine destroy the IL-76’s, they filmed it from above!
Another 50 EOS Slinger counter UAS systems added to already existing order of a 110. 110 have been ordered for M113's and 50 for Bushmasters. This weapon system is new and Ukraine will be getting them before the australian army gets any

It reminds me of the Gulf war when a call was put through to a hotel in Baghdad by a British Regiment to book it for the future victory celebrations.

Added ERA to Western tanks in Ukraine.

Which the unsuspecting 'Thrombo' duly did. "Hello, this is Sqn Ldr ***** *** from RAF Wattisham, I understand that you'd like to offer us something for our station fête?"
There was a slight pause...then the reply "This is the Argentine Embassy. We don't think we can help you...CLICK".
Still, 'Thrombo' did see the funny side and laughed off the way he'd been had!
