Russian state TV is now doubting the effectiveness of Wagner which took much longer to "liberate a less important Bakhmut" in comparison to Mariupol". Hilarious.
The biggest irony is that this will actually work and in a few weeks, Wagner will be condemned by Russians who get all their news from TV...

Zelensky: Russia could blow up Zaporizhzhia plant after handing it to Ukraine
Russia could hand over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant still mined, to blow it up remotely, President Volodymyr Zelensky told Spanish reporters on July 1.
"We know for sure that this was considered by the Russian Federation as one of the plans, so that later, when the station is handed over to us, to detonate it remotely for the release, and this is also very dangerous," Zelensky said.
He said in case Russia decides to hand the nuclear plant to Ukraine, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should check it thoroughly.
Zelensky said Russia took the children of some of the plant's employees to the Russian territory to force their parents to follow the orders of Russian forces on the ground.
"In other words, they are living hostages today," Zelensky said.
These claims couldn't be immediately verified.…

Ukraine are deploying troops across the river near the blown dam.
https://kyivindependent.com/uk-defen...-dnipro-river/
Ukraine has "almost certainly" restarted deploying personnel to the east bank of the Dnipro River since around June 23 in what could be preparations for an offensive near the ruined Kakhovka Dam, the U.K. Defense Ministry said on July 1.
Fighting has intensified on the Dnipro River's east bank, controlled by Russian forces, according to the U.K. Defense Ministry. Russia also appears to be deploying forces to the area near Kakhovka to bolster its defense in the southern sector, it added.
The intelligence report comes nearly a month after Russia destroyed the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and the dam on June 6, unleashing major floods and causing an environmental disaster in the south of Ukraine.
"Combat around the bridge head is almost certainly complicated by the flooding, destruction and residual mud from the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam on June 6, 2023," the report says.
Ukraine liberated the west bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast during the fall counteroffensive, including the regional capital Kherson, but the east bank remains under Russian control.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a D.C.-based think-tank analyzing the war in Ukraine, reported for the first time in April 2023 that it observed reliable geolocated footage of Ukrainian positions on the east bank, indicating a Ukrainian presence in some small areas there then.
As of now, Ukraine is launching a much-anticipated counteroffensive in three axes – in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in the southern areas of Donetsk Oblast, and near Bakhmut.

Zelensky disappointed with the delays in the start of F16 training.
https://kyivindependent.com/zelensky...ining-on-f-16/
President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his frusration with Western allies who he said were delaying the start of the promised training of Ukrainian pilots to operae F-16 fighter jets.
"We agreed and emphasized that we have a coalition of countries ready to start training for Ukrainian pilots. There is no schedule of training missions, this is being delayed. I don't know why they are doing it," Zelensky said in a joint conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on July 1.
The European countries taking part in the so-called "fighter jet coalition" set to provide Ukraine with jet fighters and training include the U.K., the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, and France, he said. The U.S. has also joined the coalition.
Ukraine has been campaigning for many months for its Western allies to provide fighter jets to give Ukraine air supremacy over Russia.
On May 25, the Swedish government announced it will train Ukraine's pilots on its JAS 39 Gripen jets, but added it will not provide the planes to Kyiv.
On June 1, the "fighter jet coalition" met in Moldova on June 1. There, Zelensky met the leaders of the U.K., the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, and Belgium to discuss the training of pilots and procurement of Western fighter jets.
So far, Ukraine has received 14 MiG-29 fighter jets from Poland and 13 from Slovakia but has been pushing for more advanced aircraft.
Ukraine's Defense Ministry has previously said it requires at least 48 F-16 fighter jets to liberate its territory from Russian troops.
During a press conference in late May, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that the Netherlands was "seriously considering" giving F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Russian propagandists arguing over the effects of blowing up the ZNPP, one muppet expects Russian troops to don NBC kit and carry on the war, judging by what we have seen of the state of a lot of their kit, I doubt that would be either realistic or feasible.
Isn’t it depressing how in any given discussion they automatically arrive at conclusions that are the very opposite of common sense, humanity or morality.
From an informed ( western ? ) point of view it's incredible that he talks about troops being equipped to fight in NBC gear , as if there was nothing more normal, when just a day or two ago, there were pictures of a conscript near Bakhmut who was in bare feet on parade.
