Saturday? Direct talks begin on Saturday? OK, I wonder how that conversation will go.
Russia President Vladimir Putin won’t protect Iran if the US starts bombing. This was disclosed by the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko. This is coming as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently demanded a “Libya-style” solution with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei over Tehran’s nuclear program. While meeting with Netanyahu in the Oval Office on Monday, US President Donald Trump announced direct talks between Washington and Tehran will begin on Saturday. Trump also warned that if diplomacy fails, Iran would be in “great danger” and “can’t have a nuclear weapon.”
However, Rudenko believes a war would have serious “consequences” but admitted Russia has no obligation to defend Tehran under a potential US attack despite the two countries having close military ties. Recall that Putin and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian had in January signed a strategic partnership treaty to deepen military and political ties between both countries.
“I believe that in the event of a conflict between Iran and the US, which we aim to avoid at all costs due to the potentially disastrous consequences for the region, we do not want Russia to be drawn into yet another conflict resolution,” Rudenko said as he addressed the State Duma on Tuesday.

Witnesses say the explosion occurred after a small fire on the wharf spread to open containers storing "flammable materials" and most likely, chemicals.
"The fire spread quickly and caused an explosion," one witness told local media.

NEW | A warehouse explosion was reported in Iran's Isfahan leaves one dead and two injured.
The Director General of Crisis Management of the Isfahan Governorate announced that an explosion at the warehouse of the Avanar Parsian Company in Isfahan killed one person and injured two others.
According to the Isfahan Governorate, the incident occurred at 10:30 today. Rescue and firefighting vehicles and personnel were dispatched to the area.
The cause of the incident is unclear at this time.
The Avanar Parsian Chemical Industries Complex wrote on its website that it is active in the fireworks and gunpowder manufacturing industry and operates under the supervision of the National Security Council.

It’s nearly a full-house today at Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, with satellite imagery captured by @MT_Anderson showing 6 B-2A “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers, 6 KC-135 Aerial-Refueling Tankers, 2 B-52H Long-Range Strategic Bombers, and a C-5M “Galaxy” Strategic Heavy-Lifter on the tarmac.
In addition, two more B-52s are expected to arrive at the airbase later today, placing at least 10 long-range strategic bombers in range of both Iran.....

Trump held out a big olive branch to Iran in Saudi Arabia today but at the same time indicated he will crush their economy if need be if Iran won't cooperate . The ball is now in Iran's court.
