so so sorry to hear the news, sat hear with tears streaming down my face, i took the queens shilling to fight the foe, but i am beside myself tonight. If only the masses really knew what you brave lads and lasses really had to endure to fight for my and all our freedom to sit and type on our PC's. them the entire UK would demand your recognigition as true heroes, god bless you and hope for your peace in heaven, I am sick of Tony Blair's B*llocks, and wish only that you could have been spared. But all my heart felt thanks, and gratitute for your loyal service, and god felt apology for the crap new labour have left your wives and families in. At least I am in your debt, and totally humbled by your efforts. I cant say any more!!

Our Thoughts

Our thoughts are with the families of the Nimrod crew and their colleagues who died in Afghanistan today doing their duty in a place far from home.

As a civilian trainee pilot i have the utmost respect for the armed forces servicemen and women who do an incredible job in what i can only imagine to be the hardest conditions.
This loss of life is tragic and my most heart felt thoughts go out to the famlies and friends who now have to come to terms with this.
May they all rest in peace and have our enduring respect and gratitude for their sacrifice.

Terrible, terrible news. Our thoughts now for those who have been left behind. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them, we will remember them.

Totally numb.

Our thoughts are with those they left behind.

"Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling
mirth of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred
things you have not dreamed of - wheeled
and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
Hovr'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along,
and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up, the long, delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
put out my hand, and touched the face of God."

Devastating news.

All of our thoughts and prayers tonight are for the 14 who perished doing their duty, and for those left behind at Kinloss and elsewhere around the world who will be touched by this tragedy.

Farewell guys - RIP.

I don't know anyone involved, but I feel an incredible sense of loss.

Onwards and upwards my fellow country men, your time and effort will not go unmissed.

My thoughts to loved ones, families, friends, the Sqn and all at ISK. Three of us from 201, 120 and 206 all raised a sad but proud glass in York tonight to the departed.
Rest in Peace, all of you brave, committed and professional souls.
