As a former 206 Sqn navigator, I would like to add my deepest sympathies to the families of the 120 Sqn crew who lost their lives yesterday. I have today discovered that some of those on board are friends with whom I have had the honour and pleasure to work. Although I am now 'converted' to a life of AT, I remember my times at Kinloss with pride and affection, and cannot begin to imagine what it must be like there today.
I am now off to the pub to raise a glass to them.

Sitting here sad and angry as more of our friends, colleagues and loved ones are taken away from us again. My upmost and heart felt condolencies to all the families and everyone at Kinloss. Yet again all 3 services seemed to have been affected, tragic. I hope Mr Blair has the decency to be at Brize when the crew return and look into the eyes of every single family member and say sorry!
Wherever you are in the heavens above, I know that yours is a journey that ended too soon, and that yours were lives that will be remembered by us all. I am sure that as you walk the heavenly halls you will have earned your wings again, but this time they will be golden.
Farewell our friends.

Having only left Kinloss recently, I am absolutely shocked by the news. I can't comprehend that I will never see some of the guys again.
I wish I could say something to comfort all those at ISK, especially family and friends. As I sit here with tears running down my face, I pray that you all have the support and strength to take each day at a time, to try to come to terms with this tragic loss.
God bless you all, RIP.

At this moment, flying from my apartment window is a Union Jack. It is flown with pride. My neighbours have commented on the tragic incident that has unfolded over the last 24+ hours. They understnd why Our flag is flying from my window. I offer my condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and my neighbours have asked me to send theirs as well.
Godspeed Men, we are with you as you are with us.
Hat off, head bowed, flying our flag, immensely proud.
