Puuting soot on the eyepieces of the Captain's binoculars was one trick that never ceased to cause amusement amongst the other ranks.

The finals of Strictly Aircraft Marshalling were hotting up and whilst the blue team wowed the audience with their "Start Number 4 Engine" routine, Fiona paused for a moment, summing up all her artistic might ready to knock the judges for six with her "Flaps extended" move, new for this season.

"Step forward Shy Torque!" Damn! Missed my chance. Sorry, had to work.

-----------------------------------------

I'll just have a go at the new photo:

You "Step forward" like that again, Shytorque - and I'll slap your bottom - hard! And get your tongue out of my ear!

Having spent a few quid on wallpaper in the past, their lordships thought nothing of replacing the lino in the hall...

Prune still cherishes this snapshot he took on his visit. Not only had the OASC tests for spatial awareness and cooperation been transformed beyond recognition since his day, but also the hangar had benefitted greatly from the visit of the Changing Rooms team. He wasn't so sure about the practicality of what Trinny and Susanna had come up with to replace the numbered tabards, but the DS seemed happy enough with them.

The new Queen's Colour Squadron drill display suffered greatly following the decision to allow females into the RAF Regiment.

Everyone else in the mess knew that "she" was actually LAC Walter "Hairless" Baggins, and Fl Lt Bloggs would be buying drinks well into the next decade to keep this one quiet.

Sorry tried to judge last night but got the infamous "Server Down For Nightly Maintenance" message (translation: Must save post before hitting SUBMIT )

If only my girlfriend would go down as often

Honorable mentions to Darth Nigel for - "Dining-In Nights were never like this in my day," grumbled BEagle.

and for An Teallach for - I think we've got this one in the bag ... that silly cow Fiona is picking her nose again!

Gratuitous use of the word "flaps" regarding any picture involving a woman to Talking Radalt for - The finals of Strictly Aircraft Marshalling were hotting up and whilst the blue team wowed the audience with their "Start Number 4 Engine" routine, Fiona paused for a moment, summing up all her artistic might ready to knock the judges for six with her "Flaps extended" move, new for this season.

but seeing as this was not a league match, but just a friendly, the next contestant is whoever gets here first out of ShyTorque and g126
