The pinnacle of jointery - a Land platform, driven by the Fleet which the RAF actually enjoy going to.

The original proposal of what the Chinese Navy's future carrier would look like fooled all the analysts.

As the Phalanx destroyed his ball Navs rued the day he upset the PWO(A).

Unfortunately, the new Navy carrier "Golf" type failed its sea trials as someone soon got a hole in one.

Shipbuilders: And what length would you like your new carrier?
FSL: Oh - as long as its a fair way from Bow to Stern it should be fine....

What's your handicap?
A f~*king moving course...

When I said I wanted the Aircraft Carrier to be one of the most important links in the defence inventory - this wasn't quite what I had in mind....

In an effort to reduce the Royal Navy's 'carbon footprint' and to allay any concerns about non-peace ships (new term for 'war-ships) contributing to global warming, the RN launched its latest carrier, the HMS Prince Charles.

No aircraft will be assigned to the HMS PC due to pollution (noise, air, water) concerns. And no weapons. However, special counselors will be on board to discuss with potential enemies how to resolve anger issues without resorting to violence.

Turf Wars

Turf war is a term that describes a common problem in larger bureaucracies when two divisions fight for access to resources or capital. They can break out due to improper management further up the bureaucratic hierarchy. It can also be described as contention for any resource between two or more parties resulting in confrontation.

The rumours of the unsinkable aircraft carrier were true - just no-one had suspected Royal Birkdale......

I'll hasten to add that I'm not in the mob, so i may not be eligible to enter said comp, closest i've been was in Liverpool URNU for 2 years, still...

The MOD finally came to a decision on how to recoup some of the money spent on the design of the CVF: BAe Systems are now entering talks on how to add a pay-per-play swing ball kit around the radar mast of the Type 45 to offset fuel costs.

Whatever next, spending a rather tight budget for a new warship on iPod chargers...oh wait...

The next generation of US Aircraft Carrier design had nothing to do with President Bush's passion for Thunderbirds and Tracey Island, a Whitehouse spokesman reported to the Washington Times today. He was only disappointed on no on deck swimming pool, and folding palm trees launching pad.

effing off now Sir!

And the Winner is:

Well, it has gone a little quiet, so here is the result:

In third place:

airborne artist with "HRH Prince Andrew hastily re-enlists following the launch of HMS Sunningdale."

In second place (even though he is not in the mob - but is welcome to enter anyway)

cfwake with "The MOD finally came to a decision on how to recoup some of the money spent on the design of the CVF: BAe Systems are now entering talks on how to add a pay-per-play swing ball kit around the radar mast of the Type 45 to offset fuel costs."

And the Winner is: (with a frighteningly realistic answer)

WPH with 'The Government presents it's design for the next generation of prison ships'

Congratulations WPH, Please Stand up, take your bow, and then dig out the next installment.
