Proclivity.....................................

A tendency to do or like something, especially something immoral:
the sexual proclivities of celebrities
his proclivity for shapely blondes.

How did you know I like shapely blondes? Am I really a celebrity now?

Cheers 3greens.

E5,

Come, come me old. One is hardly a git, methinks!!

With regards to the ERO, fair play to UK BAGS for offloading a whole landrover and trailer (US equiv') in record time. Well, thats what they did in '93 when one attended the same comp in Uncle Sams back yard.

Oh, and one other thing. My chest is hurting from all that pounding.................

ISITD

PS. Grim off line as now contemplating a life in blue!

I note that yet another thread has cropped up in appreciation of Movers. Nice to be popular. Everyone seems to be in a lather about RAFMOVS.com which I brought to your attention April last year. Only had a look at it once but it does bear a remarkable resemblance to arrse.

Movers site

The huge difference between The movers site and arrse is the security issues. ARRSE doesn't have photo's, names and even family names of children splashed all over it.

The movers must be crazy advertising themselves on the internet like this........Oh well their choice.

Their only saving grace is that terrorists always look to attack targets of high value or strategic importance...........so the muppets should all be well safe

all spelling mistakes are "df" alcohol induced

Wilts,

It did cross my mind that it could be something to do with your previous !!

Mind you, in this modern society of PC and tree hugging they should really forgive and forget...........or not.

Checked out both the upstart sites the other day, rafmovs.com and the short lived E-goat.
I went off both of them very quickly as they both seem to be laid out in the arrse format.
Don't know if it's the age thing but didn't find any of the so called banter in the least amusing.
I think I'll stick with Prune and be amused by the grown ups.

Have to agree with you Bill regarding the "banter". At the moment it's all beyond me as well. Perhaps this is what BEagle refers to as " yoof speak ".
Anyway, I see that E-Scroat, sorry, E -Goat is up and running again so let's give them a chance
It looks like ABIW has managed to register so let's hope that he can introduce an element of controversy into the proceedings.

Check this out

THE LOADMASTERS LAMENT

I'm a loadie in the Royal Air Force
I thought it the best job for me,
I don't fly the plane, you're possibly aware
I just make the coffee and tea.

I've flown hundreds and hundreds of hours
Sat with freight in the back of the Herc,
Checking the systems without really knowing
What they are, what they do, what a lark.

The flight deck is my office
Given food for my oven to heat,
I'll tell you what's really depressing
It's the fact that I ain't got a decent seat.

I fly for hours and hours sat on my backside
Covering literally thousands of miles,
It's a relief when we've finally landed
'Cos I get a good scratch of me piles.

It's my wish that I could be accepted
By the rest of the boys on the crew
I suppose it's really my pipe-dream
'Cos I'll never be one of 'The Few'

In early years I was once Ground crew
But I had trouble in passing their tests
The SENGO said "Son, your plain stupid,
So go demonstrate life-saving vests!"

It's true I get plenty of money
For merely flying around the skies,
Doing circuits and bumps and low level
Whilst throwing up on Cornish pies.

Got promoted to Sergeant quite early
As aircrew, it's one of the breaks,
But I was miffed when I got my rank badges
During breakfast, in a box of cornflakes.

Yes, I'm a Loadie in the Royal Air Force
And my advice to young people is free,
Go on, Go forth, be a Grow bag
And be an absolute wonder like me.

Sorry its so long.

I note that both ABIW and the 'J' Bloke have both been logged on since the previous post. Let's hope that they are both furiously penning a response. Hope they don't come up with this " not rising to the bait " nonsense.

Come on loadies there must be at least one poet amongst you.

Well I am an RAF mover
A top job I think you’ll agree
All that power and responsibility
How do I manage it without a degree?

All those numbers they really confuse me
I’ve always found sums really tough
And trim sheets are real rocket science
Thank God Loadie’s are good at that stuff

I’ve worked on the Pax desk at Lyneham
Cos in blues I look a cool dude
No rank’s, just use everyone’s surname
It’s great being thoroughly rude

We always get pax in too early
As it’s pointless them staying in bed
Why let them be properly rested
It’s more fun f@cking them about instead

I luv it when folks give us their luggage
Can’t wait till we get it out back
Especially the stuff that’s marked fragile
Which we jump on then crush in the stack

........when it comes to locating pallets,
I know the best place - I can tell,
I just find the biggest f*ck off one,
then place into the wheel well.

It’s great when I put on me flying suit
Makes me feel like part of the crew
But if invited up onto the flight deck
All I’m good for is making a brew

Humping crew bags on and off Albert
I often feel a bit of a fool
But when I see how much the crew spend on DF’s
I know I should have worked harder at school

I’d heard that not many folks like us
Which confused me cos I thought I was God
Cant work out why they always compare us
To a dim witted RAF plod

I’d luv to be a Loadie on the J model
Great flight deck, comfy seating for three
No crusty eng droning on bout caravans
And definitely no whiff of stale wee

The life of a Loady is awesome
It makes movers so jealous they drool
The answer is simple my friends
'you shoulda worked harder at school'

Damn it, I am an RAF mover
Not sure it’s all it’s cracked up to be
As respected as an RAF Policeman?
Best I leave and become a civvy.

Sorry for the delay, bit busy cooking dinner and decorating the hall................did I miss anyone?

Well F@ck my old boots !!

Wilts I am suitably impressed, here's me thinking that you're a master of the one liners and all the time you're really a f@ckin poet.
Well done old boy, 10 out of 10 for effort.

Regards to all,

E5.
