Now then Dummy,

Bit of a rant on there ( and on a couple of other threads ). Must have been a good night on the sauce or what.

Glad to see that you're almost over the Lbs/Kgs thing at last. One thing makes me wonder though. Have you got a particular problem with the female of the species ? First it was the dizzy blonde ( in fact it may have been twice ) and now a lady in Basra.

As for the GE thing..........I think not.........You may be able to teach him how to tighten a tensioner but he would have his own ideas as to where he should put it.

Regards to all,

E5.

Dummy Run,

Always thought the GE's job was to fix things and empty the bog.
Reckon you were Brahms for sure when you posted yesterday.
Thought that E5 or Always Broken might have posted today, this being the first anniversary of the thread.

Dummy

No gripes about the GE as he always has something sharp or flammable in his bag when you want it. We both know that in reality if the GE was classed as Aircrew you'd promptly bleat about the crew duty time and consequently double the time of the task. I've heard that J pilots exchange notes whereas the Loadies exchange microwave recipes, is this true?....

Mein Gott !!.............has 12 months passed already ?.......doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself !! Got to admit, I was going to have a (friendly) dig at Dummy but instead had a brief scan at the posts over the past year. Apart from the initial frenzy when some of us got a bit over zealous there has been some cracking banter (imho).
This thread will not be noted for it's academic excellence but judging by the number of viewings (30k +) then a lot of people have shown a lot of interest for whatever reason.
Perhaps now it may be time to call it a day ?
Thanks for the entertainment guys.

Regards to all,

E5.

The boxes were broken down and then reassembled into one unit which is now home to an indigent goatherd and his manky flock.
The whereabouts of the original contents are unknown.

Call it a day..........you skippin gaylord "hom"

Dummy is spot on. Give those who continously fly crew pay and take it away from the "thieves" who don't

The GE makes a perfect complement to the normal operating crew as his technical capabilities in compass with his common sense approach "aft of 245 space management" make him far more valuable to efficient op's than the current clutch of...............dizzy blonde DAMO in Wilts says it all

The only prob with making the GE crew is that he, could only be a he as "she's" could not hack it, is that they would get ideas above their station and start to belive that us Loadies were in fact GE's little helpers.......................................yeah really

Did I miss anyone out?

Ah Wilts,

What joy to have you back................and at full throttle.

Seem to remember a few weeks ago that " gender was not an issue " but that was regarding the utilisation of the fair sex as Muppets or Loadies.

Perish the thought of a female GE cos that would threaten Wilts'
position in the pecking order. Bit chauvinistic wouldn't you say ?

Regards to all,

E5.

PS: " you skippin gaylord ". Exclusive to the shiny fleet methinks !!

Chainkicker,

Perhaps the term " Movements Officer " should be discontinued and replaced with
" Supply Secondment Person (Qmov) ".
Their amateur status would then be safeguarded.

Now then Wilts,

I think you're starting to lose interest. Not like you to come out with something as bland as that.
Seems like you've lost that cutting edge since the " cammed up " brigade gave up on us.

Write out 100 hundred times........" I must try to do better " !!!

Should change the handle to "always staggered of wilts" as the muppet empire never fails to amaze

Simple route, here to the balkan's and only 2 cars on a Mk 4.... surely no one could c@ck that up.......................really

A long list of "load team ineptness" no ladder, ads arms blah blah however the most crass was the stool being chained in less than 4 inches from the wing of the car........turbulence followed by panel beating.....strokers

Summoned DAMO who tried to blame every other trade for everything....who, bearing in mind 2 cars have already been driven on is most likely to have left the ads arms dissconnected...........not the engineers as this twit tried to claim

However to show this sort of "support" is not exclusive to Wilts imagine busting a gut to get round an already tight crew duty day to get a bunch of Jag guys directly back to Colt only to find that despite your best efforts the Colt muppets are unable to stay open after 5

Thanks to our earlier efforts we got said Jag guys back to Lye an hour early to find no transport waiting and a long night ahead travelling on a bus back to Norfolk. Any of you guys reading this we tried our best.........shame your support guys were not so willing.

ABIW - you are dropping your banter standards now - this sounds like 'Oooh - sorry JagMates - I made you some promises and they didn't happen, so I'll say sorry and blame all the other Trades (like bad DAMOs do) and I'll still be great'
I hope you wrote this after a long and tiring trip. That is the only way you have an excuse for this bleating. Yes - someone somewhere might have cocked up, but you don't know for sure - or do you? What was the reason that Colt couldn't open? I really doubt it was down to the Movers there being unwilling to work - most of the MSFs give more than a t0ss - they work very closely with their customers every day. Even if they had that line, the Stn Cdr would surely tell them? Hmmm.
I'll wait and see what comes of this - but bleating like a girl with a skinned knee devalues some of the valid points you occasionally make. I hope I get the pleasure of travelling within your auora some beautiful day.

Wilts,

" despite your best efforts the Colt muppets are unable to stay open after 5 "

I trust you used the term "muppets" in general terms and not Muppets as in Movers cos I doubt that smart as they may be, Movers do not have the clout to decide the opening and closing times of operational airfields.
It would be interesting if one of the Jag guys was to post on here and reveal the real reason why the airfield was closed. Thought that there are enough alternate locations in East Anglia where they could have been deposited.

With regard to yet another DAMO back pedalling. It has occurred to me that as long as we accept their " amateur " status as alluded to by 3xGreens then most of them have an excuse for their ineptitude.

Mr C,

I did suggest in my last post that ole Wilts might be losing it !!
By the way.........Welcome back.

Regards to all.

Not wishing to be drawn into this riveting debate again.
BUT
Isn’t there some ruling from Group that all AT flight are to end at Brize or Lyneham unless the user has bid otherwise?
Any way Ding Ding round 86, back to the back stabbing and bitterness.

TQ,

" back to the back stabbing and bitterness. "

You've been away too long old son. There is no back stabbing and bitterness it's just good banter. Besides, said DAMOs, if it is to those that you refer can always banter back if they can be bothered. Perhaps it's beneath them, or even beyond them. Hmm.

Regards,

E5.

TQ is spot on however in this case a "gentlements aggrement" had been made at Sqn Boss level

Silly old Mr C getting so angry first thing in the morning Maybe my post was based on the message from the in theatre mover who passed on the compliments of the Colt MSF WO to the effect "don't come here as we is closed"

Or maybe it was the result of the captain's call to group who confirmed some sort of movers issue and told us to come straight home...........however if you know differant please tell as these are the only facts I have ................ever thought of getting a job as a DAMO...sounds right up your street

Jag "mates" were in fact a bunch of groundcrew guys, not a pilot amongst them as I think you were alluding to, trying to get home after yet another period away from home and avoid the long coach journey home. We tried our best but the "system" got in the way

ABIW

I presume these were 'military cars'? Rules were you could carry up to 38 pax without fitting the ladder so were you being inflexible or carrying more than that? If more then you should lower the ramp to the ground whilst embarking pax to prevent any risk of tipping. Once closed you should check that the ADS arms are back in - sounds like you were doing what you get paid for. You can load any kind of freight to within 3 inches of the aircraft fuselage, doesn't this apply to other pieces of load? However you get paid loads of dosh to check these things so what's your bleat? Still remember more than once seeing cars arriving from overseas with their bonnets scratched etc thanks to you and your mates sliding their bags across the bonnet - you're no better than anyone else!

Concur with everyone's comments re Coltishall. Are you that naive you don't understand the workings of the RAF? Probably just repeating the bleatings you heard on the intercom from the flight deck...
