Hi Toad Hall,

I can understand regarding quality of uniforms.

Sounds as though you are staying on at Emirates. I guess it can't be that bad. An earlier post by you, 26th Jan, said you hoped to be gone by June. Or were you just having a particularly bad day on the 26th of Jan.

Sorry to reply, but it does amuse me when a grown man soon to be a respected Captain spits his dummy out of the cot.

All the best for your command training.

Regards,

Kiwi.

Toad Hall 8th May 2006 08:03

Kiwi,
1 I am staying for my benefit 12 more months in the pit i can just about cope with.
2 As a captain with emirates i will never be a "respected captain" pilots are not treated with respect( except captain murray who is treated like a VP)
3 Thank you for the best wishes for the command training i have over 2000 hours airbus command before emirates and quite rightly i have to do the full command course, however a DEC with only 737 time does not have to jump through the same hoops.
4 If you ever make it into emirates( being from nz looking on the middle east forum i assume you are looking) you will see why grown men spit their dummys.

beats me why most of the EK crew sound so grumpy in all their threads, though i shouldnt comment coz i dont WORK in the industry at all. But life could have been a lot easier if they stop winging for once....

ANYWAY, my question is, what happens to all the cadets who graduate out of FTA Adelaide? What positions do they hold upon graduation? I am sorry but I havent bothered asking them about it so would like to know.

I know I should just leave this alone.

Hi Toad Hall,

Thank you for your reply. By reading your last post I can understand why you're an fustrated individual. So once you receive your command and leave in twelve months time will you start another career as a F/O, like you did at Emirates? or be a DEC somewhere.

Regarding my future. No, at this stage I'm not interested in Emirates but I do admire very much your aircraft, I'm quite happy in New Zealand flying only a 737. Another possible reason for not taking an interest is spending 13-14 hours in a confined space with you, it would be enough to contemplate committing a Hari Kari in the lavatory.

Regards,

Kiwi.

I have read your little wind up.......Sorry mate but you sound like a complete pratt. dont be such a dick and stay where you are.....you obviousley dont have what it takes to work up here and your attitude towards those that do, is nothing short of contempt........:E Your little B737ng based out of christchurch is a retirement job for old men with no futures.....trust me I know.

Dont comment on something you know nothing about.....such as EK working condititions.....you dont know anything about working ,living, or playing in Dubai. Come up if you have the balls otherwise stop dreaming about it.:{

TR:ok:

PS.... leave the Toad alone.....we all have our reasons for staying or going.

Tail Rota 8th May 2006 10:18

sorry 4HP but had to be said

kiwi_r4 8th May 2006 10:24

Alot happier than you by all accounts TR:ok:

Apologies 4HP.

I would love to fly with you:E .........we would have you for breakie....that is if you lasted the psychometric test and selection process.....oh, and dont forget the training....very high failure rate with DEC's at the moment........either too old, too lazy, or just stupid:ugh:

my guess is if the psyc test doesnt ....the later will get you in the end.

Goodnight Kiwi

ratpoison 8th May 2006 11:22

Anyway, back to the psycho's who run the psycho dept. Small minded third world people who have obtained some sort of "qualification" which is not recognised anywhere else in the world (actually that sounds a bit like the GCAA licence I have) getting their rocks off by humiliating and threatning first world well educated professional people. The amount of careers I have seen delayed or ruined over the years by these vindictive little third world turds is criminal. Yeah, come on up to EK. What a wonderful outfit !!:yuk:

Tail Rota 8th May 2006 11:33

Yeah Rat I know what you mean...they told me I was too aggresive...so I spent 20mins arguing .........telling they were wrong. :}

Still got in though. ........mmmmmmm.......maybe I was out psyched by the Psych:*

Supermd11. Good Luck!

Like 4HP said "we're way off track".

In twenty four hours I've met;

1, A soon to be captain who thinks SOME of his fellow colleagues as SCAB. But, wants to be one in twelve months.

2, A young guy, as it appears, with a much younger mental age who wants to eat me for breakfast.

Supermd11, I believe you will have no problems during the "Psychmetric Test". Go with confidence. In fact, I question if the test actually works.

I best go before the whole compound come out for a chat.

Regards,

Kiwi.

Oh my, another one!

Hi Muttley Crew,

You must occupy the third bedroom. Must be a villa I’ve heard so much about.

Look, Muttley Crew, I have no idea how long it took for you to think of a reply to my post but what an absolute pathetic effort. You seem to strive for intellectual wit and use words like “Euphemysm”, I strongly suggest you spend an extra minute with the Dictionary and check your spelling before posting. It makes the impact just so much better!

Give me your address and I’ll gladly post a game of “Scrabble” for you three boys to play with in the evenings. That might help! In fact forget that, I’ll call HR tomorrow and get a contact for Toad Hall. He has kindly supplied so much information about himself he has only refrained from giving out his telephone number.

Are there anymore ineptitudes who share your villa?

Goodnight I’m off to bed.

Toad Hall 9th May 2006 11:03

4 Holer i think it is about time kiwi the cabin boy is removed from the ME forum but feel free to allow him to post in the cabin crew forum i am sure he will find all the info on joining EK he needs there!!
regards
TH

what_goes_up 9th May 2006 12:42

Why remove him? Kiwi has some valid points. But you guys still owe him an answer. Do you change career after EK to start as a F/O again or as a DEC (and blocking the F/o's there)?
And no, I am not a DEC, just waiting for my turn for an upgrade. As long as the offer is out there I have full understanding for every CMD who joins EK as a DEC. No need to call them SCABS. If the offer should be out there..... other topic. But we might find a consense there.:ok:

what_goes_up 9th May 2006 13:13

Muttley
100% agree on this Brian Somehow clown! But still no need to jump on anybody here in this forum who asks Q's to make up his mind (This is not pointed at you but in general).
And thanks for your honesty about the move:ok:
