NetJets

I hear that they have a CP now who at least knows the Operation and is a competent, experienced and respected gentleman amongst the troops.
Gen opinion is that his boss is doing his best to palm the real work off to him so the gross inadequacy's of himself can be if not hidden, at least diluted.
101 Management tactics for the incompetent - surround yourself with competence and hope you can survive!
I hope for the CP's sake he has somewhere to go up his sleeve.... considering the people above him - he doesnt stand much luck for a long life!
Ah.... what a savage machine!

Good luck to the sound folks still earnestly looking for another job - at least industry is improving.

:D

Some hope

Yes, the CP is a real gentleman. Sadly - he is outnumbered by folks with lesser integrity, honesty and competence.

I Wish him all the very best! Good luck MF!

I heard that NAS (private) are negotiating a contract for an A380 contract at the moment. However, a few months ago there was something about an A340. Don't know if this would be the same client?

Anybody with updated infos about NAS? in particular E190 fleet? How are rosters, life in Riyahd or Jeddah? Are upgrades to captain happening? How long do crews stay in company in average? how are the perspectives, or is the company doomed to the same fate as SAMA?

mutt 31st Aug 2010 05:25

Toffair........... this thread is about NJME not NAS, whilst they are similar, they aren't the same, try posting in a NAS thread.

@ Mutt

The thread is called "Netjets Middle East/Nas (private jets)"

@ TOFFAIR

After Sep 18th things there ought to be some updates. Or so I hear.

mutt 1st Sep 2010 10:52

Ashlea you are correct, it is called NJME/NAS PRIVATE Jets, which to me refers to NJME and NAS Aircraft Management, not NAS AIR. Now considering that the question was about E190's. . . Do you think that he is posting in the right place ?

Interview and Sim Assessment

Hi all,

I am up for a chat the nasair soon.

Does anybody have any details of the interview process and sim ride.

My search has not turned up much.

Hi all!
just curious how the rosters look like at NAS, are there E190 based in JED? Are promotions likely for FOs, if yes after what time period or which criteria?
How much do you really get p/m? Do they really honor the commuting contracts?

thanks

NAS NJME Fleet update...

Hi TOFFAIR,

According to sources, the consensus seems to be a fleet of the single aisle airbus family and 4x E190s. So, it seems you are in the right place.

Also, as far as I can tell, NAS represents the combination of NetJets ME and a low cost airline all under one roof, NAS.

Check it here:

Nas Air (Saudi Arabia) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think this is accurate.

more NAS antics

i applied for this job over 2 years ago and didnt join. i got a phonecall yesterday from the recruiter asking if i was still interested. i was forwarded the T&C's and they are just about half of what they were 2 years ago. in fact there are very close to what i make at my current job. $5600 FO, $8000 CA. there were allowances for hpusing, transportation, and relocation. my info did not differentiate between the 6/3 and full time rosters. what a raw deal; not worth quitting my job. furthermore, the interview is in amman this weekend and 3 days notice is MUCH too little time agree to such an escapade. careful mates, they are looking for suckers.... and read the latest aviation week issue, very weak business plan...

ShinjukuHustler 24th Sep 2010 06:32

Word around the place is that they are close to running out of cash and going the same way as Sama Airlines...

Thoughts anyone? ...and please no "The King will never let that happen" because I heard that was the mantra at Sama also and look what happened there.

Hustle on:ok:

Fly Ginger 7th Oct 2010 15:47

we have sand pilots because although claims made of 20 plus years of aviation, there is a very big world out there.........outside of ruh-jed-ruh.

We have rain pilots because as part of our remit to fly to India, GACA insisted that the initial flights consist of crews that have India monsoon flight ops experience.............. GACA's call, not ours.

We have snow pilots because as part of the initial contract negotiations, it was a big plus that we had already in place within NAS, pilots who flew regularly to these challenging winter ops airfields, and this helped secure the contract.

Although this is a rumour network, the above is fact. I find it very sad indeed that someone can gloat over people being removed from there positions within the company, especially when these people have invested so much time and effort to help........... yes, HELP all within the company. Two of the people involved i hold in very high regard indeed, both of whom have held positions of responsibilty in 'real' airlines before joining NAS. They have tried to make it work, and by that i mean they have tried to open the potential that NAS has, to improve standards, to esentially make it a profitable, sustainable and more importantly a viable business to grow and prosper........for all, saudi and expat. By trashing their hard work, you are trashing the investment that has been put into this company, saudi investment - Saudi money. I'm sure there are a few of the shareholders would be interested to hear your views on this matter.

Finally, i would like to say that these are my views, everyone in this company knows me by my nickname, i do not hide behind a pseudonym. I also have worked here for 2ys 8 mnths without one single sick day........... shame we all cant say that eh:}

Just remember folks, i'm ginger......... Fly Me:ok:
