Hi everyone,
I’m scheduled for a Flydubai simulator assessment on the 29th and 30th.
If anyone here has an assessment around the same dates, please feel free to get in touch.

Hi,
Is there anyone who did the FZ Second Officer program through FlyDubai (not CAE)?
After the assessment, how long did it take to get the TR date, and once you got it, how far ahead was it scheduled?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my ATPL phase, about halfway through the exams. I’m expecting my license conversion to be completed by April .
If anyone here is on the same pathway, or preparing for the flydubai ATO pathway (not Emirates CAE) process—it would be great to connect and share updates, timelines, and prep insights so we can support each other.
Feel free to reach out. on whatsapp +919885320370
Thanks and safe flying.

Requirments
Hello everyone,
Apologies in advanced if i end up asking a question that may have already been answered.
I am currently going through my ATPLs in UAE, and it is looking to be time for me to look at my possible future prospects. FlyDubai program seems to be the only reasonable program available to recent graduates. Going through their website however there are a few things that i am not certainly sure about.
Requirements do ask you to have done 737 Type rating, is it only with a certain ATO or are all type ratings issued by GCAA is approved?
Secondly my question is they have opened their own Initio program, does anyone know if they plan on removing the second officer program or will both continue simultaneously.
And lastly how does one actually apply i know its been touched on a few times, but currently on their website vacancy is not open and haven't been opened for awhile now as well, as long as i have been checking.
Again apologies if my questions asked have already been touched on.
Thanks!

Second Officer application March 2026
Hi.
Anyone applied for the recent Second Officer position with FlyDubai? If so, anyone with an ATPL? And has anyone gotten a response yet for progressing to the next stage? Video interview? Online assessment? Or even a tentative assessment date?

Wasn't too bad. Just straight HR questions, nothing technical for me. But that might also be because of me being an ATPL holder. Wasn't given any assessments to do at that stage, not sure if the CPL guys got assessments along with the video interview. Anyone willing to clarify?

Hi all
I recently received the online assessment/interview from FlyDubai (not CAE programme)
I would appreciate if anyone could share the insight (Could text me on whatsapp or through email if not convenient to discuss in public)
Or if anyone like to discuss feel free to text me

I’m new here and would really appreciate some guidance from the community.
I’m quite interested in the Flydubai Second Officer / cadet-type entry routes and wanted to understand how my profile fits. Here’s a quick summary of my background:
- FAA CPL (ME + IR)
- Total time: 292 hours
- PIC: 183 hours
- Solo PIC: 90 hours
- PIC: 183 hours
- Around 200 hours on G1000
- Experience on 5 different aircraft (3 single-engine, 2 multi-engine)
- A320 Type Rating
- MCC, A-UPRT, and ELP Level 6
So I wanted to ask:
- Is holding a full ATPL a mandatory requirement for Flydubai’s Second Officer/entry-level positions, or is a CPL with frozen ATPL (or equivalent) acceptable?
- How is an FAA license viewed in this context—would conversion to another authority (like GCAA/EASA) be necessary before applying?
- Given my current experience level, do you think Flydubai is a realistic option, or should I be focusing on building more hours first?
- Would doing a B737 type rating improve my chances, or is it better to wait depending on the airline’s requirements?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Since i,mnew and can not access pvt messages you can connect with me on my email - [email protected]

Don’t expect anything to move quickly with the current economic climate.
the regular line pilots are flying about 1-2 flights per month lately with a load on voluntary or unpaid leave.
if you have an option to pursue a similar path outside the ME it may lead to faster progression.
