Hello everyone,

I am trying to apply via the website but they sent me an email asking me to put in the total hours, last flight date and aircraft time but it doesn't show up for me on my application.

It should be in the Work Experience section of the application , but it doesn't show up at all. I tried to email then they said someone from IT will check but so far no reply. I put in my position and my current airline company but after that nothing at all.

Can someone please help me on how to get past this ? I tried different browsers , devices and nothing works.

Am I doing something wrong?

I waited about 1 year to be called after I submitted my initial application. There's a few initial steps that you can do online (Hirevue, psychometric, etc). Then there's an online interview. I got invited to go to Dubai the day after I completed my interview and they arranged my trip to Dubai 1 month later. All in all, from the day I submitted my application to the day I was offered a contract it took about 18 months. Add 4 months until the day you start the course.

How long does it take normally for HR to shortlist you or give you an update in there? Applied to FO position couple of months ago and application is still under review mean time hearing some examples getting shortlisted with exactly same qualifications as me.

Thank you for a quick reply. The wait time seems to be a lot but worth the wait I suppose. How many hrs you have on type? If you don't mind me asking. Thank you.

I have to comment on it. There is about 0 chance for a Russian to get a job offer, then do all EASA licenses/exams and then get a visa in E.U. I’d guess you have higher chance of becoming NASA astronaut.
As well, *he won’t get any gov benefits while waiting for visa. Don’t confuse with a refugee. Most likely the person wont even be allowed into the country, except for tourist visa duration.
Getting visa for US? Spend 10-30k$ with no guarantee of approval, do FAA exams, etc… yeah, for many people EK is the best choice.

For First Officer? That would not mean their minimum requirements but I suppose you could apply, with an immediate rejection. Quite clear from their career page. Have you looked at it?

Hello all. Anyone have any information on what the Hirevue interview entails? Is it “Tell me about a time when” or more like a get to know you more kind of interview? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hireview is most likely done by AI/speech recognition. Website asks you a question and you need to answer in a limited time. If you have a human face and your English is intelligible you'll get an automatic pass shortly after you submit the video answers to the questions.
You can find more information in the website latestpilotjobs and you'll find a list of all the possible questions (you'll get 3 if I recall correctly). They have an interview preparation package that you will definitely need to practice other stages of the recruitment process (Advanced Compass, etc).

The actual personal interview will be a video call via Microsoft Teams later on.

According to what they told us during the road show you can definitely create your profile and keep it updated as your hours increase (As long as you're only a couple months away from reaching the requisites).

Sounds good, thanks for the response btw.
Will definitely dive into LPJ when needed. Cheers

Of course you can create a profile and update your hours…. However currently <2000 does not meet their minimum requirements.

You cannot sign the contract with <2000h. However you can start assessment process (2-3 months) and you can serve your notice period. On their roadshows and online information sessions they explicitly ask to apply before 2000h to save time.

Online MS Teams

Hello guys just curious as to what is the success rate of MS Teams video interview these days and afterwards for the assessment itself at DXB? Thank you.

I dont think people on this forum would know it. While in DXB you can say "we were 10, 4 passed", its kind of impossible with online interview. Prepare and you will pass it

It was no Hirevue for me. Abstract reasoning/personality, MS Teams next. My suggestion would be dont stress with it, unless they do tell you to do it.

I did my assessment in Dubai in a group of 9 people in Summer last year. 4 of us were successful. I can't remember who was Boeing and who was Airbus.
As per the MS Interview success rate I don't think there's a way to know that because everyone you meet in Dubai obviously passed all previous stages.

I can't confirm this but I've read in other forums that you'll only do the HireView stage if you're not a native English speaker. It could mean that HireView is only used by Emirates to filter out people who can't speak English and it's possibly a Speech Recognition AI thing. The successful reply after the HireView stage comes too quick for it to have been reviewed by a human. In my case, literally minutes after I hit submit I was sent an email with access to a system to coordinate availability for the assessment days in Dubai.
