This is a Quote from Fly747. Please pm him/her directly if you would like more info. He/she has offered:
Selection Process. The selection process runs over three days:
Day 1: Is a welcome chat/brief; document check, incl logbook/licence, etc; followed by technical quiz of 30 questions, ranging from easy to hard. Not too much emphasis is placed in this in terms of the final outcome, it is mainly designed to separate the pretenders and contenders. This is followed by the sim. Yep, sim on day one. I have more info about the sim content if required.
Day 2: This includes a few teamwork exercises/workshops and role play etc. This is followed by a brief on T&Cs at Emirates, life in Dubai, and includes a short tour of Dubai, including pilot accommodation/villas, medical facilities and training facilities if there is time.
Day 3: This includes psychometric testing and the panel interview, which is generally a conducted by an HR person and a Captain on the pilot selection committee. After the interview is the medical.
Good luck!

Direct Entry Captains
Was wondering if Emirates is still hiring Direct Entry Captains, or concentrating on F/O recruitment? I placed an application online 3 months ago, and have yet to hear a peep from Emirates. I more than meet the requirements for Captain as outlined on their website, and I'm starting to get discouraged, especially after hearing how they are getting desperate for pilots... ??
I recently updated my application noting that I WOULD consider an F/O position... Would the ommision of this consideration have delayed their interest in my application?
Appreciate any feedback!!

who knows, if you meet the experience levels then they will get to you eventually. Don't believe everything you read or hear about EK being desperate. They are not desperate at the moment. They should be, but they never look that far ahead to realize they are going to be short. At the moment they don't have enough simulators or instructors to train half of their new recruites.

Attended interview at the end of May. Just got the email to say that I was not successful, but I can reapply in two years time. Good luck and best wishes to the others in my group if you got in.

high and fast,
Sorry bout not getting the job. I take it that you attended the whole 3days. I was under the impression that the job is probably in the bag once you attended the whole 3days unless you did something really bad....

Emirates Interview in Aug 70
Please email or PM me. I finally decided to go for it. Read the pros & cons. If anybody been there recently that would be great. Have a month of hard studying. Anywhere to get 777 sim time.

Interview with EK
My fiance has an interview the last week of August with Emirates. We will be traveling to Dubai on the 24th. I think I am as nervous as he is. Do you know what is expected from the wives/partners of those interviewing?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about 777 sim time because it doesn't matter that much. You could very easily get the A310 Sim for the interview, or even the A330. Frasca time would be just as beneficial, if not more so, to get a good scan going.

It is very simple,
You are current or flown Airbus = you will get Airbus 330
You are current or flown Boeing = you will get Boeing 777
If you don't have the above types = you will get 777 or sometimes 310 (mainly no joystick)

Possible info
Hey, I am a cabin crew, now working with Maxjet. I have a pilot friend who worked for Emirates. I am now in the midst of sorting out an application with them. I will ask my friend for you and get that info out to you. [email protected] in my preferred email contact.

Attended and finished the 3 days interview 2weeks ago in dubai for F/O position.
Very professional and super nice people.
felt very good and strong during the whole process.
however my references have not been contacted yet.
Should I worry?
Anyone has any infos on how the selection is made at this point?
Thanks in advance for your inputs
