TDK Do you have any info on whether you can expect to be called on a near future ( months) or not? I was invited to the Madrid PSP but a week before I was put on standby. I would appreciate any info!!

@bluesaddict - no idea I'm afraid, I blame myself as I postponed a previously offered interview! I guess if you are 320 rated, they could give you a short CCQ for the 330.

So or wives coming for the interview... They don't give a pos ticket. What about the help with the visitor visa... For Canadians the visa is a bit complicated these days I believe... And it's been beaten to deaths earlier, but what percentage bring the spouse?

I have to say that now the strangest thing happened to me.

I went to first two days of PSP to London last october-november and passsed the psychological test, compass test and sim. After that my status at my application changed from "shortlisted" to "PSP successful".

Now that I got my ATPL license as well as 2500hrs together, my status changed again and now I'm again "shortlisted"! I trust (and hope) that it's just a computer error or something like that.....

Interview Prep with Elite Assessment

Has anyone used or know about Emirates pilot preparation course with Elite Assessment? Cost is $625 USD. Besides saying expensive and not necessary for the interview, has anyone actually used the course before and if so what your take on it. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to spend $625 wow! Talk about exploit the needy!

look at the numerous posts / threads on the subject, and you will be as equally prepared for much much less.

It is your money, but I'd pay the $625 for the prep. It is an investment - plus, it will probably, at the least, give you a confidence boost as you start the process. There is another great thread on this forum about EK interview prep - some great advice in general.

Good luck!

AMS PSP

Anyone know what aircraft they intend to use at the AMS PSP? I looked up info on the facility they mentioned they used and it looked like all they had there was an E190 sim.

Any chance of Emirates lowering the 2,500 hours requirement?

Only 270 hours short and became unemployed after passing PSP 1

Read on another forum that future PSPs are on hold until the end of the year unless you are a DEC or Airbus rated?

To clarify does PSP refer to all pilot recruitment or just the activity outside Dubai?

A colleague of mine just said his application went from "shortlisted" to "on hold" and received an email stating that no further interviews for FOs are being scheduled due to a change of plans.

Can anyone from EK confirm this?

falcon10,

What type does your colleague fly on?
I'm on A320 and am still shortlisted from more than a month.
