Good luck to all DEC applicants.
I am trying to assess what ek are looking for exactly. Runcorn Bridge are you a TRI/TRE? I applied at the same time as you and am only short listed. I have more experience than your profile suggests but mainly Boeing time and no new Airbus. So the key seems to be training experience and possibly airbus time.
Anyone else care to discuss?

No I'm not a TRI/TRE. I'm a regular line capt. I did however apply for a capt position through the FO application just prior to the DEC opening. Don't know if that helped. I too have a lot of Boeing time. As you say maybe my current A320 status also swung it.
But you're shortlisted, be patient, i'm sure they'll be in touch very soon.

Yes, they are mainly using A310 and A320 sims in Dubai for selections.
Out of Dubai they tend to use 'conventional' aircraft ie: Boeing 737, 757 type sims, but configured as a generic Aircraft.

Quick question; I have read on the forums, here and others that guys are getting the first two stage interviews without holding an ATPL... Is this correct???
if so, how do I go about doing this? I just put my app in a few weeks ago, 6k total, 3,800 on the 700/900 RJ. I will have the ATPL this July(company provided), and most likely a type in aug/sept. I got what looked like a generated response informing me that I presently did not meet the requirements, and to update app when I receive the license.
Thanks in advance....

I am short of 450 hours of meeting the requirements. Would my application be taken into consideration? I understand from their website that we can apply when we are short of up to 500 hours from minimum requirements. Is this correct?

Nilley: That is an automated reply which just looks that you lack of some requirement. I received a similar one (I did not hold an ATPL when applying) but still got an invitation to selection programme (look below). Just be patient.
Chrislikesblue: They do accept applications lack of 500 hours but they want you to fill all the requirements when they invite you to Dubai for tests. I did psychological tests, interview and sim in London and after receiving ATPL and getting 2500hrs together I will be invited to Dubai for the rest of the PSP.

Just got an invite as DEC barely 1 week after updating my profile from about 5 years ago. They seem to have plenty of dates available. Seems a bit stingy not to invite the wife out to DXB if they are so concerned about families settling in.

Short listed
Not really been short listed since January 15 no coms what so ever.l think it depends on many factors ,it seems right now they are looking for DECs and ratings are also a major factor.
