I have submitted my online application but dont have any rotary/military jet time. It says then that my application is only 84% complete.. does that matter?

I meet all the other requirements, 4000+ / 30ton etc

Transport Jock, I seem to recall this came up before, and the answer then was that you cannot leave those fields blank (as one would expect) but rather you have to enter the number of hours that you have in that catergory i.e. "0".

Please let us know if this helps.

G'day Transport Jock, my application was also at 84% when submitted for the reasons you stated. I have an interview coming up shortly. As long as you got the 'Thank you for your recent application seeking employment with Emirates' email I think you're good.

Whats the top limit of BMI ( body mass index) for the medical pre joining? Not that I'm bothered but Mrs Tightseat seems to think I should find out. Cheers.

EK lists their BMI requirements as 18 to 25, but up to 30 as long as certain measurements are not exceeded(or something to that effect).

Interview emails for March are going out. From what I've seen they tend to send them out about 1.5-2 mnths in advance.

@Australianguy: EK seems fine to start you on the whole process as long as you are within 500 hours of the 2500 jet.

Amsterdam preselection

I hear EK are holding preselections in Amsterdam soon.
Anybody got any info ? I'm particularly interested in the type of sim they are using.
Could be useful to do a bit of prep.
Cheers,
btg

How much time to you actually need on a aircraft heavier than 30ton? At the roadshow they said just 1 hour is fine, but now i hear u need 2-300 hours?

I probably do have a low iq but at least I'm in the job you are wanting.
Well said! This Aussie wannabe sounds like a screw-ball

I seem to remember there being LOADS of aussies in the UK in the '90s in flying positions that the unemployed Brits should have had... What goes around

Got a few friends who will be out of a job soon and were wondering how long between applying and getting called to an interview assuming one was well-qualified?
